How to set up wireless keyboard and mouse

hello, attach the mouse and keyboard receiver to the PC and make sure to install the drivers if it not plug and play. the drivers usually come in a CD plate giving to you when you buy the keyboard and mouse. once that is done make sure the mouse and keyboard are turned on. ie, you must have inserted the battery into the source and usually a switch will be there to turn it on. hope it helps

Hi, i have just purchased a labtec wireless keyboard and mouse and am experiencing some problems. the keyboard only becomes active when windows is launched, so i can't make any changes to the bios. can you...

Hello, two possible solutions spring to mind.
1) Get yourself a standard wired keyboard to plug directly into the ps2 purple socket (next to the green one, which is the mouse connector) just keep it for those 'special needs moments'.
2) If you are plugging your wireless keyboard receiver directly into a usb socket, then you should have an adaptor supplied with your keyboard receiver that enables you to plug the usb end of the keyboard cable into the ps2 keyboard socket of the computer (the purple one) . That way your wireless keyboard will be able to work at bios level.
Hope you find these suggestions useful!

Dell wireless mouse and keyboard-no instructions

Most Bluetooth keyboards and mice are just Plug-n-Play and does not require any driver installation. You need to isolate the problem, please follow the steps below:

1. Make sure that the wireless adapter of your wireless KB and mouse is properly connected to the USB port of the computer.

2. Make sure that the USB ports of your computer are working.

3. Use fresh batteries for the KB and mouse.

4. After connecting the wireless dongle to the computer, turn on your KB and mouse (there should be an ON/OFF switch underneath).

5. Briefly press the connect button on the wireless dongle and then hold down the connect button underneath the mouse for five seconds and then release it.

6. Do the same steps for the KB.

Have a good day!

Dynex wireless mouse DX-PWLMSE won't work

The mouse should be Plug and Play. Did you install the drivers before plugging the mouse's receiver in? The PC has to have the drivers first in order to take advantage of the Plug and Play capability. If you plugged the mouse's receiver in before installing the drivers, unplug the mouse receiver, uninstall the driver, reboot your PC, reinstall the driver, then plug the receiver in and you should be fine.

Otherwise, press the Connect button on the receiver first, and then the Connect button on the mouse, and that should establish the connection. You don't need to disable your touch pad in order to use the mouse.

Laptop does not recognize wireless mouse

Most wireless mouse are not plug and play.
Try this:
Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Wireless mouse and keyboard not working

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.

I have the same mouse. What you have to do is first power off the mouse, then push on the green-lit button on the transmitter that you plug into your USB. (It doesn't feel too much like a button but you will see that it starts flashing.) Hold it down for about 15 seconds. Then power on your mouse and you will see that it should start working. I was frustrated too but got mine working.
