It could be 3 things:

bad / faulty charger
bad / faulty battery
motherboard issue

I'd try taking it to a local computer repair store that provides free diagnostics, have them try another charger, battery. They'll let you know what the problem is.

Before doing that though I'd try booting the computer with the battery out to see what happens.

Hope this info helps!

MY HP 6730B will not power on with or without battery installed. the charger light blinks several times but nothing happens. The battery and AC adaptor are only a couple of months old. Any ideas...

Unplug your computer, remove the battery and hold down the start button for 60 seconds. Plug it back in and try to restart. If this works, turn it off again and reinstall the battery.

If this fails, you may have a motherboard issue.

Good luck.

Hp 6730b fan speed fully fast

It sounds like your laptop is overheating, hence it speeds the fan up. I would reccomend dismantling the laptop if you are confident in doing so, clearing any dust/debris from the cooling system and putting fresh thermal paste on where applicable. Hopefully this will cure your problem. If you are not keen on taking the laptop apart I recommend taking it to your local repair store for a cooling system service.

Bios password. I have being working in help desk for a few months and i just received a HP Laptop 6730b the big problem is that the user setsup the bios password, the user turn back the laptop cause he was...

Yes. Remove the battery, unplug it, open it up, and take out th CMOS battery. Then hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual charge. Plug it in and boot it without the CMOS, it should say password disabled. You can go into the bios and change the password if you like. Put everything back together and boot, then you leave me feedback. Please do not hesitate to comment if this does not fix your issue.

No power from cord to computer

Hi...

If your laptop is under warranty go back to the manufacturer. If not go to hp center and buy a power cord of your charger which is totally fix to the charging hole.

Good luck

Won't recognize battery charger

The battery might need to be replaced.  If it works plugged in, but is not charging....it is simply not holding the charge.  I know it seems strange that when it is plugged in without the battery it will not work, but that sometimes is the case.
