Download the drivers to the computer you are using. Then burn them to a CD disk.

When you go to download the drivers, Note where they are going First. Write the name of the driver file down. Then look to see where it is going to be downloaded to.

See if it is going to your My Documents folder, (Documents in Vista)
(Start > My Documents for WinXP)
It may go to a sub-folder within the My Documents folder. Downloads.
Double-click on Downloads to see.

It may go directly to your desktop screen.
Have a fresh CD disk in the optical drive. (CD/DVD drive)
Right-click on the file name when you see it.
Left-click on Copy.

Then click on Copy to CD, or the name of your optical drive.

Windows running on the Systemax computer, put the CD with the drivers in it's optical drive.
Go to My Computer.
(Start > My Computer)
Left-click on My Computer.
Now double-click on the optical drive name (Letter. Example; (D:) drive)
Then double-click on the name of the Ethernet driver file.

The Installation Wizard should come up, and lead you through installing.
(Essentially click on Next, Next, and Finish)

Restart your Systemax computer.
Go through the process again to install the Audio (Sound) file.

After reinstalling Windows XP, my PC can't detect

Hi,
Yes you need to install the ethernet driver . You can download it here. You can either enter your service tag number which can be found on the back of your CPU or you can manually select the model. Once done, it will display all the available drivers for your device. Make sure you choose the right Operating System and download/save the ethernet driver you need. Install it ands reboot the computer. Once the right driver has been installed, your computer should be able to detect your modem again.
Hope this helps.

Problem audio

There are a few likely causes with audio problems. Either you need to reinstall the audio drivers, you need to reinstall your OS, or your sound card just died.

1) Most likely, is that you just need to reinstall your audio driver, or update it. The link below contains the latest audio driver for the Dell Latitude D620. Download it, run the program, and install it, then restart your computer.

Click me to download latest audio driver!

2) If the sound isn't working from the driver, then you will want to try to reinstall Windows. Note that doing this will delete all of your data currently on the laptop. To reinstall, find the Windows disk that came with it and run it, follow the instructions. After you reinstall Windows, reinstall the drivers from your drivers/utilities CD that came with your laptop also.

3) If sound still isn't working, then your sound card/chipset has just died. Since it's a laptop, there's really no fix for this, however you still should be able to hear using headphones.

Ethernet and IEEE 1934 Controller problems

Hi Mitch, thanks for all that information. If you don't have the original disks that came with the computer I'm thinking you can obtain these from the manufacture Hewlett Packard! These disks will contain all the drivers you need. I have provided a link below. check the site out and select your operating system whether it be xp or vista and this will show you a download for the drivers that you need for your particular make of pc. If you don't have original disks I would recommend you obtain these. They are normally free to send out whilst some manufacturers charge a fee which is relatively cheap. Should you encounter any problems in future you then have the disks to reinstall windows and the drivers that you need for the system. Start by checking out the link below, I hope this helps. If you are able to locate the drivers you need below then perhaps you can download them to a memory stick and then load them on the pc with the problem. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know and I will try my best to help you. Andrew

I need to reinstall ethernet driver on my desktop but it will not connect to the internet.

If this problem is in direct relation to the heading,
Dell Dimension E510 Desktop PC, here is the download page for the Ethernet driver,

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIMENSION%205150/E510&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Download to the computer you are on now, if it has a CD burner optical drive.
Burn this driver to a blank CD-R disk.

(I advise do not use a CD-R/W disk, because it can be written over. Do not put anything else on this disk but driver/s. Label the center of the disk)

Now start the Dell, wait for Windows to fully load, put this disk in the optical drive.
Left-click on Start>My Computer.

Go to to the drive letter that corresponds with the optical drive the CD disk is in, and Double-click on the drive letter.

Follow the Installation Wizard's instructions.

I've replaced the hard drive & tried reinstalling XP. It said I need an ethernet adapter. The ethernet card is still in place. Is it not recognizing ethernet? What should I do?

You need to download the ethernet card driver from HP and install it. This is impossible unless you also have wire less working. If not, you'll need to go to another computer and download the driver to a disk or USB flash drive. Install that and it should work. Get the driver from www.hp.com. It will guide you to the correct driver if you have all the model number info. Good Luck.

You could save all your important documents, pictures, and things liek that, than than do a clean format of your hard drive, reinstall whatever version of windows you have (assuming u have the disk) and than reinstall all your drivers such as the chipset, processor, sound, graphics, modem, and ethernet drivers
