Normally in such a situation i would advice you get it replaced, but due to the current situation of things in the world this might be a bit out of place. Although if you can afford it replacement is the best.
On the other hand if you cant replace it now you can get a repair tech to refurbish the body of the unit or replace the unit body altogether. By replacement they get another unit which has problems with the engine and put your engine inside completely. Only when these are done it wont work as effectively as it used to be initially.
Although depending on your location you could send it back to the dealership and have it replaced for a fee.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Whirlpool Gold GD5SHAXLQ02- Serial number SP3131657 just stopped cooling. Neither the fridge and freezer seems to be cooling. This unitl is about 7 years old.

Hi!!

Check
temp. control knobs,
Small fan in freezer
Remove freezer back panel (where the little fan is) and check for iced evaporator coil, if so, unplug unit and use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt ice, make sure the air duct going to the fridge is clear. Once this is done, restart unit.

If evaporator is not covered w/ice, then you may have a freon leak, Call a Service Center to get a repair estimate.

How do i change the door spring on my whirlpool dishwasher? i don't know model # as the label on door is gone but it's about 3 yrs old. no manual as bought at dent & ding store.

normally the door springs depending on what side has to be changed by pulling out the unit ,the spring runs underneath along the lower side to the back ,its a bit technical to do but if you go to searspartsdirect you can see the image of the whirlpool unit .you can even get parts that willbe shipped to you.hope this helps,to get you started.

The dryer squeals (metallic sound) while drying clothes.

check wear pads around front of drum or rear depending on brand. Ge's are particularly prone to scraping sounds, but still one of my preferred brands. IF a ge, did it get any dents around the sides or back? The drum is close to the sides and a dent in right place will do it. Also the rear panel can push the drum forward rubbing in front.
Ge - wear strips in front, plastic bearing in rear center, replace both, inexpensive.
Whirlpool- felt pad and wear strip in front, felt seal in rear with roller support. check rear seal lube rollers
Maytag -roller in front and rear with front and rear felt seals. some designs have front drum support posts with wear pads. ck these.
Frigidaire (include some sold under GE name) rear bearing cup (plastic)-lube, front feltpad with wear plates if plates gone get new pad/wearplate asm.
Maytag and ge nomenclature tags are in rear .

Hello it sounds like you have a leaking water hose which you need to find. maybe check first where it connects into the back of the unit.. Otherwise the fridge has a blocked drain in the freezer. cheers

Water on floor after Kenmore dishwasher runs

you could fix this, however the price of repair will be 1/2 of the price of a new dishasher.  I would suggest you buy a new oneand not waste money on a six year old dishwasher.  find a good scratch and dent model.

Dryer making a grinding or rumbling noise when it is on

i would bet you hae a dented top of the dryer. thats what is hitting the drum causing the noise. if you put something heavy on top of the unit then the top could have bent down and is now hitting the drum when it runs. and heat as it runs will make it worse.
if yo can, pull the top up and re-shape the top so it doesnt hit th drum and then dont let the top get pushed down again.
