When you are not able to connect with Internet from Your Wii, means there is something wrong with the settings. You may go to Wii Fix Guide and check out the guide available there, This DIY guide will show step by step pictures to fix the problems yourself without any technical knowledge.

If your trying to use a Wireless Router, you might have to deactivate the security firewall the your router has enabled. I had to do this but since I don't know what kind yours is you'll have to call your internet provider ( i.e. Time Warner, etc. ). If your using a regular Modem, you can only have one thing plugged into it at a time. So this means you have to unplug your computer from the modem and plug your Wii LAN Adapter into the modem.

Hope this helped :D

How can i test my internet connection?

Ok. If you have internet at your home already then, what you need to do is go to the main menu where it shows all the "channels" you have. At the bottom left will be the wii options menu click it, go to wii settings, click the right arrow once click internet, click connection settings. Pick which connection you want it doesnt matter which one you pick. So click one and if you have wireless internet click wireless and click search for an access point and your internet connection from your house should show up if not that is something wrong with the router not the wii at all. Save the settings and click ok for connection test if asks for a wii update hit no and then when it takes you back click at the top use this connection and you will be good to go with the connection

Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button. Now, select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu. Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet." Select "Connection 1: None"(Don't see "None" in Connection 1? Click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings.") Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point." · The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network when the test is completed. You should see the following screen. Then you're almost done! After your connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Once you select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates.

Playstaion network is not working on my playstation. All my other internet parts are working according to the Internet connection test. How. Can I act against this problem.

Hello mike_mcgill
Try the following steps:
1. Completely power cycle all equipmet before attempting to connect online. To do this, unplug all network devices from their power suppliies, e.g. modems and routers. Wait at least 2 minutes before turning them back on again.
2. You have stated that you have tested your internet connection. How? It may be worth contacting your ISP to confirm everything is working as it should be.
3. What type of router are you using?, e.g. 802.11b/g/n. If you´re using an n, this needs to be set to mixed mode. To find out how to do this, consult your routers manual, or contact the manufacturer via their website.
If none of the above steps work, there are other things you can try, but I will need to know how are you trying to connect to the internet, e.g. wired/wireless.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you require any further assistance. Good luck!

How do i connect my ps3 to the internet if i dont have wifi?

Your PS3 supports both wired and wireless. Heres how I have mine set up, Ive been running wired since day 1. 1st- hook your ps3 up to your modem or router with an ethernet cable. {im assuming ps3 is plugged into the tv, if not hook it up}
2- go in to your network setting on ps3.. If you start at the far left go over click and all the way down. You will see network settings. click on it and go down to the 3rd option there.. Internet connection settings. You will get a pop up that says your ps3 will be disconnected from the internet if you proceed, just hit ok. It usually automatically detects if you have the ethernet cable plugged in but just in case it doesnt go ahead and select wired. after that, just select auto for everything else. You will go through about 5 questions and it will be ready to do an internet connection test. All should be well.
If that doesnt work, make sure all the cables are plugged in and try again. If you are able to connect to the internet after that but get booted off, go back into network settings again and disable the media server. Hope that helps.. Happy Gaming

This setting is available only on PS3™ systems that are equipped with the wireless LAN feature.

Set the method for connecting the system to the Internet. Internet connection settings vary depending on the network environment and the devices in use. The following procedure describes a typical setup when connecting to the Internet wirelessly.
1.
Check that the settings for the access point have been completed.
Check that there is an access point connected to a network with Internet service near the system. Settings for the access point are typically set using a PC. For details, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point.
2.
Confirm that an Ethernet cable is not connected to the PS3™ system.
3.
Select in_networkset.gif (Network Settings) under in_setting.gif (Settings) in the home menu.
4.
Select [Internet Connection Settings].
Select [Yes] when a confirmation screen is displayed stating that you will be disconnected from the Internet.
5.
Select [Easy].

Select [Scan].
A list of access points within the range of the PS3™ system is displayed.

Depending on the model of PS3™ system in use, you may have the option [Automatic]. Select [Automatic] when using an access point that supports automatic setup. If you follow the on-screen instructions, the necessary settings will be completed automatically. For information on access points that support automatic setup, contact your local retailer.

Select the access point that you want to use.
An "SSID" is an identification name assigned to an access point. If you do not know which SSID you should use or if an SSID is not displayed, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.
connectwireless003.jpg 9.
Check the SSID for the access point.
10.
Select the security settings that you want to use.
The types of security settings vary depending on the access point. Contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for information on which setting to select.

Enter the encryption key.
The encryption key is displayed as a series of [*]. If you do not know the encryption key, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.
connectwireless005.jpg When you have finished entering the encryption key and have confirmed the network configuration, a list of settings will be displayed.

Depending on the network environment, additional settings for PPPoE, proxy server or IP address may be required. For details on these settings, refer to the information from your Internet service provider or the instructions supplied with the network device.
12.
Save your settings.
13.
Test the connection.
If you select [Test Connection], the system will attempt to connect to the Internet.
14.
Confirm the connection test results.
If a successful connection has been made, information on the network will be displayed.

Hints
  • If the connection fails, follow the on-screen instructions to check your settings. Also refer to the information from your Internet service provider and the instructions supplied with the network device in use.
  • If you test the connection immediately after selecting [Automatic] > [AOSS™] in step 7, the router settings may not be completed and the connection may fail. Wait approximately 1 or 2 minutes before testing the connection.

Xbox live

I would suggest that if you are xbox live unless you have fast internet dont use the internet for other things like your computer. Its most likely that there is not enough bandwidth for everything. If that doesnt work call you internet service provider and explain the problem to them and if they are a legitamate company they will help you out.
