Mcculloch web site says 40:1 ratio

There are 128 ounces in a gallon
divide 128 by 40 = 3.2
So you need 3.2 ounces of 2-cycle oil per gallon of gasoline

Don't forget, you also need bar-oil in reservoir that lubricates chain

Mcculloch has manuals for you to download
I suggest you get a copy of your manual while available, and read the manual
Most companies don't have old manuals, so a few years from now, your manual may not be found

Does this take straight gas?

Your saw most likely requires a gas/oil mixture. a 1:50 mixture (1 part oil to 50 parts gasoline) is common among newer saws. Some older saws (20 years or more) require a richer mixture, commonly 1:40. I recommend you consult the users manual for the saw.

Hope this helps.

Can u tell me the best fuel/oil mixture for Stihl TS360 Many thanks

Use Stihl 2-cycle oil and it is 50:1 (see page 19)
1 gallon of premium fuel to 2.6 ounces of quality 2-cycle oil.
Talk to the mechanics at Stihl that must clean out the carbon caused by rich mixtures, they will tell you the same.

I picked up this McCulloh chainsaw at a yardsale a few days ago. I am not sure if it takes regular gas or 2 cycle gas...and the oil-- could you tell me the mixture? It is a gas powered 32" chainsaw. Other...

It will take 2 cycle mix. I run all of my saws at about a 40: 1 mixture. I could likely run them at 50: 1 even but 40 is a little safer. The older saws had to have a richer mix due to the oils not being as good back then, not to mention the changes in engine technology. You can buy the 2 cycle mix at just about any hardware store. It will have a chart that tells you how much oil to mix in with the gas for a given ratio. If you really want to be safe with an older saw you might try it at 32: 1 Hope that helps you.
