Not sure which chassis you have. Look for a ctc chassis number. Most units have a programming function that can be addressed from a soft button on the front of the unit. Also just try going in the down direction with the channel select button to see if it goes from channel 2 to a/v input. A chassis number would help me. I was a Thomson authorized repairman for years but it has been a few years. good luck

Hello, thanks for replying. The chassis no. is ctc177af3. Need your help sir.

The ctc 177 line has a menu button. You should have access via this button. You will probably have an air or cable selection and maybe a a/v here. If not try putting it in air mode first. Exit that screen and try going down with the channel button. If that doesn't work. you will have to give me a day or two to dig through my old service lit. As well as I remember with the 177 style chassis you are able to do everything from the front of the set without the remote. In the meantime I will try to blow out the cobwebs. I will caution you that those chassis are very prone to tuner solder problems so move this set with caution.

I pushed the menu button, i selected the AIR mode, but there is not A/V here. I exit the menu screen, but when i try to go down with channel button, my TV stays there on channel 04. Not sure if this TV even works or not :(

one more thing you need to do is hit the auto- program in the menu. IF no signal is hooked up it probably will not help. That's all for now. Will get in my shop and research tomorrow if you are still hunting I may be able to help then.

also look for anything that says source or input.

I want to wach things from my phone to my t.v.I have YouTube on my phone please can you help me

As far as I'm concerned, here are your options:

1. Have a Smart TV, with the YouTube App installed, and then cennect the two via the built in guide.

2. Have a TV with a HDMI port. Then buy and connect a Chromecast, connect via guide.

3. Xbox360 (and higher) can also download a YouTube App. You can set it up just like the smart tv app. Note: Xbox Live Gold is needed for this. (Not sure if it works on PS3-4, but I assume that is does.)

Again, as far as I know, that's your options.
Good luck!

I am trying to connect ps3. (bought may 2012 with uncharted 3). To my denon 2313 via hdmi. No video at all or sound? Please help

You need to tell the PS3 to use the HDMI cable output. To test have you tried connecting the PS3 directly to the TV. Once you have that working then add in the AVR.

Codes for RCA RTD315

if you need a remote for the rtd315w you can use the RCA D771. Put the code in manually in the AUX 1. Use the codes from the audio system section of the manual under RCA and RCA/DIxxxx. I don't remember which code, but it gave me on/off, volume control, and DVD menu navigation (on the guide and goback buttons).

Panasonic 1080p Plasma TH-42PZ80U Home Theater Setup Question

Hey Gamer1827,

While I personally can't provide you with any model-specific home theater system recommendations, there are a couple of common ways that you can generally configure your home theater.

Connecting several devices directly to the HTIB system may typically allow you to minimize the number of remote controls necessary, as long as the HTIB system supports the use of a universal remote. Should you not necessarily care if you have to change back-and-forth between two remotes however, you may have a wider variety of possible configurations available.

In order to use only HDMI cable connections to set up your home theater, you most likely would need an HTIB system with three HDMI ports: one for your TV, one for your PS3 and one for your cable box. Each device would require a separate HDMI cable running between it and the receiver. This option (in theory) would allow you to use one universal remote to control each device, assuming that they are all compatible with the same remote.

Another common configuration you might wish to try requires you to connect your cable box and PS3 directly to your TV. By doing so however, you might limit yourself to using an optical digital audio cable to make the connection between your TV and many HTIB systems. In this configuration, the cable box and PS3 would again have their own separate HDMI cables, while the optical digital audio cable would need to be run from the Digital Audio-Out port on the back of your TV to the Digital Audio-In port on the receiver. This option essentially treats the HTIB system as an expansion device, instead of the center of your home theater configuration.

Should you need any additional information or suggestions, remember that you may always speak with a sales representative at your local Best Buy™ store for further assistance.

Hope this helps you out.

I don/t have remote control

If there is no button on the TV to go to the video channel or channel 3/4, you'll have to buy a universal remote.
