It could be a filter. The first thing to check is the filter at the front. Remove the panel at the front of the machine, nearest the floor. You will find a little drawer or door. Open this and remove whatever is inside (quite possibly coins!). This might solve the problem, although I think it's more likely to be an inlet problem...

So the next thing to check is the supply hose. Is it properly attached to the machine? Is it properly attached to the tap at the other end? Can you identify a leak when the machine is filling?

You could also check the supply tap. Make sure it turns fully on and off. If it doesn't turn on or off properly you might need to call a plumber.

If the problem isn't a supply problem, it could be a drainage problem. If you can identify where and when the leak occurs you will be in a position to begin to fix it.

Another possibility is that the machine could have been damaged, e.g. by forgetting to take sharp things out of your pockets before washing. However, from your (albeit brief) description, I suspect the problem is a water supply problem and probably not too difficult to fix once you identify it.

Good luck!

If you have the manual handy, check the debris filter removal and reinstallation procedure. There may be some little thing that can spell the difference between leaks and no leaks.

It depends where the water just "drips out". It could be a leaking hose, or it could be the parts weren't put back together properly after you cleaned it. More information would be helpful.

if your getting oil in the air filter area, you have a leaking intake gasket or a leaking head gasket, run a compression test on it,
if the compression is where it should be on all cylinders then its a leaking intake gasket!!!

Water Filter leaking after changing filter

There's probably some particles that got trapped in the filter purge valve ( the red button) preventing it from closing all the way.

You may be able to clean the valve while the filter top is still in place. Try using a small brush. A toothbrush may work if you cut off the handle. Hold the button down while you clean the inside of the valve. Then take a
spray bottle and put the sprayer tip on stream. Flush the valve from the inside.
If that did not do it, next step is to remove the top from the water lines, and flush the valve out.
