We just moved into our new house and brought our dryer with us. The dryer worked fine when we plugged it in to test but now wont run. when we press start it just beeps 3 or 4 times

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You may have a wiring problem. Dryers are wired 3 poll for a 15 Amp fuse or a 4 poll for a 30 Amp fuse.

You either need to change the dryer wiring connection plug or the fuse box amp.

Dryer runs but beeps intermitenly and doesn't stop beeping

you most likely have a bad computer board located in the top console.i haven't changed any of these boards out but on the frigidaire affinity dryer this happens alot and it's the computer board.the dryer would just start beeping on it's own,like 3 beeps at a time beep beep beep,then beep beep beep,was the board,you have to give the full model number to whoever you order the board from,open the dryer door,look around the opening where you put the clothes in and you'll see a tag with the full model number.good luck.

My fisher and paykel dryer ( mod# ED56 ) wont start, power is on

I had this same problem with my Dryer. It is making the few quick beeps because it thinks the door is still open. Near the bottom of the opening to the dryer there is a sensor switch that gets pushed in when you shut the door. Try holding the switch in with a knife or something and then start the dryer with the door open to check if that is the problem.
After i did this, i closed the door and my dryer started as normal.

It wont start and beeps 3 times reading "DR"

your door-switch is bad, needs to be replaced. done many of them. before changing the switch, have the technician make sure all the wires on the control board are plugged in.
