FGHB2844LF water dispenser not working

Turn the temp down on the refrigerator side but not below freezing. Some frigs have a "trap" set up for the water dispenser. its located behind a panel in the frig and it is there to help chill the water before it dispenses. if the frig setting is too cold then it can freeze the water .

Water dispenser on fridge not working - water pressure fine, could the line be frozen and why would that start happening all of a sudden?

Check to see if the water reservoir in the bottom of the frig is frozen. If it is, you will need to turn the frig temp down.

Whilpool questions

Assuming that both freezer and refrigerator temperatures have risen and the humming sound that you heard was followed by a sudden click more than likely the start device on the compressor has gone bad. This is a common problem with all Whirlpool refrigerators (KitchenAid is Whirlpools top of the line product and suffers the same problem).

The fan inside my air conditioner suddenly stopped working. It's stuck and I can't get it to move. I have let it rest for 2 weeks and it worked fine yesterday, but now it's stuck again.

The fan needs replaced. They do ware out....get the model and serial numbr from your frig and go to the local appliance store and they should be able to get you a replacement.

Hope this helped you...Jim...Please leave a comment.

Frigidaire #GLHS35EHSB6 This has been an ongoing problem for 3 months. All of a sudden the frig starts making loud noises coming from the evaporative fan and motor. Sometimes the noise level sounds like...

Keep in mind. If you know how to fix is good but if other will fix for you then it'll cost more to fix than just buy new one.
I'll never fix the followings:
Fridge, washing machine, dryer, microwave, vacuum, TV, VCR, DVD player, toaster, electric range, dishwasher and other house appliance.

Good luck

If you open the refrig door and the light comes on you have power.

Most likely the defrost timer has stopped working.

The timer is often located inside the refrigerator part of the unit, or under the remove-able face on the bottom of the frig.

You can manually advance the timer with a screw driver or a coin. The place that you advance the timer is a round object in the middle of the face of the timer. You must rotate this part of the timer. The design is such that you can only rotate the timer in one direction.

If you rotate this and the compressor motor begin to work then you can be sure the problem is the timer motor. Sometimes the wire breaks off the contacts that run the little motor inside the timer.

You can buy a new one and replace this quickly.

Do replace the timer if rotating the compressor starts. Rotating the timer is not a fix, it is only a test. The timer is designed to defrost the refrig Failure to have a defrost cycle is bad.

Whirlpool conquest model side-by-side

You need to replace the compressor start relay/overload. It's on the left side of the compressor. You should be able to remove it from the compressor by hand but you may have to use a flat head screwdriver to pop it loose. When you get it off you can shake it and if it rattles inside it's definitely bad. I bought one for my fridge online for $48. Hope this helps.
