How to enable or disable remote access on a VersaLink 7500 wireless router

Remote access is a way for you to log in to your router's settings from any computer that has Internet access, even if it's not on your local network. You can configure your VersaLink 7500 Wireless Gateway for remote access by following the steps below.

To enable remote access:

- Open up a web browser on any computer that's on the same network as your router.
- Type your router's IP address (by default, it is 192.168.1.1) into the browser's address bar and hit Enter.
- Click the Advanced link at the top of the screen.
- Click Yes when asked if you're sure you want to proceed.
- Click Remote Administration.
- If you are asked to log in, enter the user name and password for your router.
- Click the box next to Enable Remote Access.
- Write down the URL shown on the next line; that is the IP address and port number you'll use to access your router remotely.
- Click Apply to save the change.

To disable remote access:

- Follow the steps above to get to the Remote Administration page.
- Remove the check mark next to Enable Remote Access.
- Click Apply.

If you haven't already changed the router's user name and password from the preset ones, you should do that now to prevent other people from being able to access your router over the Internet. You can set up a new name and/or password by clicking Users on the Advanced page. If you don't regularly use remote access, you should leave it disabled as an added security measure.

I own a 60PP9401 60 in. Rear projection tv. My red convergance was way out of line. I placed tv in the shop a while back, cost me $300 to get it fixed! Got set home, red still out of line, but not as bad. My...

This set has an advanced menu for adjusting the convergence and what may have happened is the shop adjusted it (It is done with an original Philips remote) and then not SAVED THE ADJUSTMENTS INTO THE SET'S MEMORY.

I can if you have the remote get into the menu and adjust and SAVE the adjustments. If the set is HD the convergence will have to be adjusted two times, once in regular and once in HD.

Let me know if you have questions.

I need the code for the urc-8910b02 to opperate a mitsubishi

For a Mitsubishi TV the codes to try are: 0093, 0150, 0178, 0019. The manual and set up codes are here: http://www.oneforall.com/support/manual . Use the drop down menus to select the remote to get a link for the PDF.

A manual code search option is available. Press and hold Set until the display shows Code Set. Press the down arrow until you see Man Search. Press Select once. Then press the device button for the device you want to program. Aim the remote at the device that you want the remote to control and press Select once. (The LED will blink and the IR symbol will flash on the display.) If the TV turned off, press Select to save the code. Otherwise, press the Up arrow to advance the code being used and repeat until the device turns off. Again, press Select to save the code. The display will indicate Success and then Exit Setup before returning to normal operation. Record the code you saw when you saved the setting and store the information in a place that you can find again.

If your old remote still works, then you can program specific features to the universal remote with the Learning feature. See the manual on page 16.

An issue to remember: remotes only have codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your device is newer, you will probably need a newer remote. The URC-8910b00 was released in 2002.

I hope this helps.

Setting the clock/time

There should be a menu button on the remote which will get you into the various advanced programming functions. Many/most of the late VCRs cannot be programmed, time set with the buttons on the VCR itself.
