Skil is part of Bosch Tools. You can go to their website. https://www.boschtoolsservice.com. Click on "Search for your tool" under tool model # type in 3400. I believe the fence you are looking for is part #860 and costs about $34.00, however I would recommend calling them because there were so many variations on the 3400 that there may be more than 1 fence for model 3400 and you want to make sure you get the proper one.

I need a fence for an 8020 Tradesman Table Saw. Any ideas or anyone have one that costs less than buying a new saw? Please help.

Hello Kathryn

It is a Sears brand, so you can order the part from them.

This is a slightly newer model, (8031) but you can see they do all the parts

There are also companies like this that may be able to help if you contact them.

I have decided to take up fencing. I will obviously need to buy some protective gear to wear. Can anyone recommend a good place to order from online?

There is a site I used for my sons a few years ago that sells fencing starter kits for all ages and genders. Most of the kits include a jacket, mask, glove and practice sword.

MY GIRLFREIND GAVE ME A SKILSAW TABLE SAW AND I DON'T KNOW HOW IT STARTS

On the front of the saw right to the left of the words Skilsaw you will see a large red switch. Pull it out to start the saw and push it in to stop the saw.

Looking for cost of replacement motor for skilsaw model 3400 13amp for 10" table saw and where to buy from? Also, is there a 15amp replacement motor that would bolt right in to replace?

i looked online at places I get parts from. Neither listed the motor as a part the had the aramature for about $70 and the field for about $35. Have you tried the reset button? also it may just need new brushes.(if you see lots of sparks at the end of the motor opposite the blade, look through the air vent slots it is likely the brushes, unplug the saw, and take them out and replace them HERE is a blow up ) the I would think that if the saw is well used and the motor has burnt out. It may be a lost cause. I am not sure what the price of this was new but you can get a reconditioned saw from Amazon for 135 bucks. And it is a 15 amp saw.

Where is blade lock for my Skilsaw 5150 located

look for the button on the right side of the handle. Other models require you to put a phillips head screwdriver into a hole in the blade to hold it against the body of the saw.

Hi , i have a skilsaw 3400,but the blade is to hard when hand turning it, want to know if it uses ball bearing or another stuff. thanks. pedro pm24h@yahoo.es.

If it is direct drive blade mounted to motor) you will have to remove the motor and check the bearings. Most newer electric motors have sealed bearings. I would suggest that you remove the motor and take it ot an electrical shop (call around first) and have them replace the bearings, clean it up and replace the carbon brushes. Anothe alternative is look for a replacement motor through places like Grangers, Norther Tools, etc.

If it is belt driving check all the components (pulle bearings, etc) for friction.

good luck....gary

Table saw skilsaw model number 3400 15 amp

What you are describing sounds like the power is being interrupted somewhere. In my experience, this is usually casued by a bad switch. Try replacing the trigger switch.

Manual for Skil Saw model 77 type 17

I have a Skilsaw model 77 type 16. I have the original owners manual and would be willing to fax you a copy.
The manual only lists a part number for the gear oil, it is No. 249. This is for a 5-3/8 oz tube of gear oil. I checked with my local hardware store which services this saw and they called a factory rep. They told the hardware store with shipping and handling it would cost about $17 for the oil! However they also said that a 90 weight gear oil is close enough to solve the problem.
Hope this helps.
