How do you install part gp75878

You need patience/care to open up the faucet and replace the parts.

See if you can understand the diagram on page 15 of the installation guide. The link to the guide is:

The thread that helps tighten the faucet has come apart from the faucet. I cant see back there to rethread the piece into the faucet so I can tighten the nut.

turn valve water off. Quickest fix is buy new plastic sink faucet nut and sink nut removal/installation tool from Lowe's or Home Depot. Take off old and install new. Turn valve water on and done.

My k-12265 lavatory faucet hot side is dripping from the spout

You probably have a faulty seal in the valve. You will need to take apart the faucet and determine what seal is bad. Contact the manufacturer or a local hardware store to see if they have a replacement valve cartrige for your faucet or individual parts.

Dripping water of a faucet

Hello Daniel,
I've had the same problem a time or two in the past, and although it seems to be a problem you dont want to tackle, it is rather easy and dosen't take much time.
First you need to know the brand name of the faucet, then go to your local hardware store and tell them what you are looking for. They should then give you a faucet repair kit that contains maybe rubber "O" rings, washers, and or gaskets, along with a diagram of how it all works. Then when you get back to your faucet, shut off your water and draing the pressure by oppening the valve (should only take a couple of seconds or so), and follow the directions on the package. Now they are small parts, so when you take it apart, just pay close attention to how it breakes down, and putting it back together will be a breeze.
Hope this helped some, and best of luck

My grohe single handle pull-out faucet is leaking. can I fix it myself - I'm a woman that has never done this & the plumber can't come for a week

You need to wait for the plumber to take care of the faucet.
But I will tell you that Grohe has a lifetime warranty on parts.
It would cost you less to tell the plumber to remove the faucet
completely, and take it back to the wholesaler and install a new
one. It takes time, to take a faucet apart, then go get the parts,
then put it back together.

I say again, it's faster to replace a faucet ,than repair it.
And time is money.

All the best to you.

Hot water pressure is fine, cold water is low.

You may have debris caught in the supply line or the mixing valve. You will need to take the unit apart after you have turned the water off and inspect those parts. Also, some of the new faucets have cut off valves already installed on the faucet, if you do make sure that they are fully open as well.

How to take handle off of Grohe Lady Lux Cafe-took screw out-handle is stuck

I soaked the connection between the handle and the valve body in a penetrating oil for several hours and eventually used more force than I hoped to use to remove the handle. Once the handle and end cap (part 09 209) were removed, I could see that the valve assembly (part 46 048) was loose which caused water to leak from the seals (part 46 209) between the valve assembly and faucet body. So I tighted the screws that hold the valve assembly to the faucet body and the leaked stopped.

Need to find information on gate valves

Hi robert garet,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You are a college student and currently learning on how a cast iron gate valve works you need diagrams to print off for my portfolio and to learn how to take one apart and how to maintain a gate valve you would be greatful for any information thanks

For small valves, it's just a mater of unscrewing the bonnet (top part with handle), with larger valves, you remove the bolts around the bonnet. Always turn off the pressure in the line before maintenance. If there's a leak where the shaft comes out of the bonnet then you need to replace the packing material inside the bonnet. This is usually a good time to put some apropriate lubricant on the threads at the botom of the shaft. That's about it from a practical point. I don't happen to have any pictures but you can take them yourself at any plumbing supply or they might let you fotocopy the expanded pictures in their parts book. They're usually happy to oblige.
