Question about GE GTS20ICNCC / GTS20ICNWW Top Freezer Refrigerator

1 Answer

Hello, I think my freezer drain is clogged in my GE GTS20ICNCC refrigerator. I don't have the "buster" for cleaning it. Is there any other way how to unclog the drain? Thank you. Robert

Turn off the fridge. Remove the rear freezer panel inside the freezer. Take a hair dryer and thaw the ice in the drain trough at the rear of the freezer. After it is clear, pour a 1/4 cup of bleach into the drain hole. Adjust the front leveling legs on the fridge to make the fridge tilt slightly to the rear.

Drain Hose Clogged on my GE Model No. GTS391CNBWW. How do I fix it.

  • thoroughly clean out the freezer and pour some hot water in the very back of the freezer, this may unclog it. usually the clog is caused by an ice buildup.
  • personally i would take the machine outside and blast it with a hose, but thats just me. if you do this go ahead and do a thorough cleaning including the coils under the machine.
  • warm/hot water with a little bleach and dish soap (as a surfactant) mixed in works wonders when cleaning refrigerators outside.
