I found an easy way to get the protector cover off. once the torx screws are out get a pair of angled needle nose pliers. insert the pliers into the water intake for the grinder, just a little, then gently rock the cover up, it should pop off with little effort.

Please Help! I installed 3 Moen Banbury single handle faucet/shower units. Water will not flow from either the hot or cold handle position from any of the units. I pulled a feeder pipe (pex) off each one...

were there any thread protectors inside the hot and cold inlets? sometimes they put Styrofoam pieces inside to keep debris out of the inlets and outlets. inspect inside of valve body through inlet holes thoroughly

INLET PROTECTOR

Hi Michelle,

I hope this is not a duplicate, I am having trouble sending things today and the last message I sent to you is not showing up on my end. If it is a duplicate I am sorry about that.

The inlet protector has a screw near the left side of it that you removed. There is a 'rim' around that screw hole, if you grab that rim with a small pliers and lift from the left side first the cover will come up.

Reply to this if you have questions. I can look for pictures if needed.

I need to clear debris from under the inlet protector. The two screws and the foreign object protector have been removed, but the inlet protector seems stuck in place. Is there a trick to pulling it out?...

Hi Steve,

I am not sure on what you are calling the inlet protector. Check out this link and let me know if it is one of the pieces that are called out here and the number it corresponds to.

This link shows how to clean out the sump so not every part in there is shown.

Kenmore Ultrawash III will not fill with water, in any cycle setting. Is this the overflow protector sticking or other?

Check the float(flood) switch inside the dishwasher on the floor of the tub, it floats with the water level shutting off the water inlet valve when water is at the right level to start the cycles. Also check the water inlet valve for good water supply/pressure and clear of any resrictions. Good luck !

Check for a clog in the hose or the dirt inlet by the brush roll. When there is a blockage, the thermo protector will shut the motor off to protect it. That protector could be bad, or a problem with the motor. Is the brush roll turning freely and or is it froze up and won't move.

Whirlpool GU1500 chopper assembly cover

I had the same problem. Grabbing the little tab and yanking does not seem like the best idea, as it has a groove that fits around the chopper screen, and another lip that fits tightly against the motor housing. There is also a hook at the bottom of the tab that helps hold the cover in place. If you are too rough you could damage stuff. I found if I used a thin lever (screwdriver) on the screw flange side, and worked tthe tab gently with a needlenose, it came free without too much trouble.

You might have something bouncing around in the wash pump inlet in front of the "chopper". Remove the lower arm and upper arm supply tube. Remove the screws then remove the screen, accumulator and inlet protector. You should see debris in front of the screen. 0ca22aa.jpg

Hoover wind tunnel vacuum cleaner shuts off during use

Check the inlet down by the brush roll to make sure it isn't clogged. If not and the hose isn't clogged, then probably the thermo protector (part #28382093) maybe bad. It is mounted near the motor. Could be motor Part #43576188. But I would suspect a clog in the inlet or hose, or the thermo protector has gone bad.

Not enough suction for Panasonic MC-V5716 upright

Probably not the motor protector, its function is shut off the motor if it overheats. Most likely you have a clog or partial clog in the inlet down by the brush roll, or it is in the hose. But if the motor is running, and suction is low, with no clogs, then maybe the motor is running at a slower speed and will have to be replaced.
