Question about VeriFone OMNI 3200 (P092-101-10) Printer

OMNI 3200 My boyfriend has been working on these POS systems for some time now and cannot figure out what is going on, when he tries to do the partial download it says no answer, the line is fine because the "working" Omni 3200's can download the partial diagnostics software from the same line with no problem, he has some schematics but can't determine if this is a programming or hardware failure, any suggestions would be helpful.

It could be the machine it could have blown resistors or the transformer when bad or the HD11 when bad need more help call us @ (775) 358-2922 : - )

Based on my experiences with the Omni 3200. If there is no answer, it could be the modem. Contact your processors help desk and verify the download phone number. It could have changed since the initial download. Or it could be the phone line. I have found if you are using VOIP phone service, you may not get it to connect. Try using a traditional land line to complete the download. The Verifone products are very tempermental on VOIP phone service when downloading. I am in the merchant service industry, and I have downloaded over several hundred of the Verfione terminals. I hope this is helpful.

Take the back off. Open the machine carefully. You'll see a green circut ribbon which needs to be replaced. There are at least 4 different kinds for the 3200 and they are NOT interchangable.

Need to reprogram a vx 570 but don't have password, I believe it was programmed thru NorthAmerican Bancard. 1 alpha,alpha 66831 works on first entry but not for the 2nd password entry. Does anyone have a...


Try calling their support number. I had a non-standard terminal config password on an omni 3200. I called the processor's support line and they were able to give me the password.

a lot of times there are issues with the paper cup lid not closing all the way. Try to apply preasure to the lid of paper cup and re-print a receipt and/or report. If still not printing.. Check the paper... make sure its thermal. To test you paper if it thermal... use your thumb nail and run it across the backside of the paper. If it thermal it will leave a faint gray mark the "shinny" side of the paper.

How do program to automaticly settle batch daily


It would depend on the program in the terminal, you should call your merchant service provider and have them turn on the autosettle flag. Then, you will do a partial download into the terminal.

Printing receipts on Omni 3200


This would be in the programming they have to use, the only option would be to change to another provider.

Unless you are doing download procedure wrongly, this is either a problem with pre-installed firmware, or hardware (faulty memory). The first one is more likely.
If you are sure you did download procedure ok, then you have to send the machine back to omni for repair or replacement. they are the only ones that can do this kind of service, as for security reasons firmware image for this kind of machines is not distributed.
First ensure you are not doing the download procedure wrong, then find Omni contact at the end of your manual.
