how do i keep my texts messages and calendar appointments saved forever because at the moment on my blackberry 8310 they get automatically deleted over a week old.. i have found it is not software issues either..

    could you please advise!

    thanks

    hi

this issue with texts messages and calendar appointments being losts is a problem before i even started using my pc to connect to my mobile.

i only connected today because i wanted to try and save calendar and texts to pc so they are not losts.

How can i keep calendar appointments/texts messages for ever on my phone as i have made sure the settings are on forever!

Also if i do a backup on my mobile and then i restore that backup on my phone later, will i lose the current data at that time?

    hi

blackberry 8310 is rubbish for internal memory and sad fact you cant save txts, emails and applications to sd external memory card which i have 4gb.

so i have downloaded a few applications. i guess to resolve the problem i will have to remove a few applications and then this would be fine..

there is no other way?? when i reset phone then my status file free is bigger, if i do that more often , wil i be able to save texts and calendar??

    thanks

Hi.

If you only sinchronized the Blackberry with the computer, without installing any firmware, then all you have to do to reset the phone is removing the battery and restarting the phone.

If that does not work, then there is an additional problem. In that case it is pretty unlikely that simply sinchronizing BB with the computer has caused the problem.

Hi, try going to profiles and choose normal profile.

If that does not work I will give you instructions for doing an hard reset, but that will reset phone to factory settings, deleting all data stored.

Also go to Manage Connections option in menu and ensure that network is turrned on. If SIM is not accepted test SIM on a different phone (test using an unlocked one)

Most important thing at this stage is that you click on the Manage Connections icon and turn all connections on. Try that, if that does not work, we go for a reset.

    Hi.

I think you are charged a one-off $6 fee, I am not sure. The expert answering the question gets only a $2 reward that is credited if you accept the solution, the rest of amount charged goes to the company.

    Regards.

Through computer connection you can do a reset. That is probably what happened. When this happen the only way to recovery your data is if you did a backup before resetting. Unless you have a backup file you won't be able to restore the data.

    Hi.

The BB deletes messages and stuff when it goes out of memory.Go into options, then status and check the free space allocated ot files, if this is below 150K the files will be deleted. Also ensure that contacts, messages etc. are not being saved into the SIM card memory.

I think that you are experiencing all this problem because BB memory is full. BB uses three storage devices (memory): Phone internal memory, SD card and SIM. Check SD card,if that is full replace the memory card with bigger one. As said also ensure that you are not using the SIM memory. SIM has very little memory up to 256K, better not using it on a BB.

    Hi.

Yes I know. Fixya has a couple of threads on the topic. Here one example.

Scroll down the thread and see the hint from refman16 for clearing logs, that can help a bit.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Have a good day.

    Hi.

    Save your data first.
To clean everything go to options > security options > general settings, then press menu and the select wipe handheld (wipes everything)
To clean logging only Menu > Select Options > Call Logging. Set to None.

Here a page that may help.

    Take care.

Paano ko maa activate ung gprs ng cherry mobile cellphone unit ko

Hello Annalyndael,

You can do that by calling your mobile service provider and request them to activate it for you. Iba iba kase ang settings bawat phone and bawat service provider.

Thanks for using Fixya!

My blackberry phone has a problem -invalid simcard. but when i inserted the same simcard to another phone there is no problem at all.what should i do?i know that my phone is something wrong

Hi,did you got your blackberry for contract? if so then thew mobile will not allow you to accept you to insert other provider's sim unless otherwise you unlock your mobile..and when you inserted your sim in other mobile, means that the mobile will be unlocked(assumed) or it will not be purchased under contract..so try to unlock your mobile to use other provider's sim..for unlock codes you can either contact your provider or can get it from online providers..once i got unlock code for my mobile from theunlockspot and unlocked my mobile..you can too try getting codes for your mobile..but before that check whether unlock codes are available for your country and provider..

Under Contacts press the Menu button, you will have a copy option where you can select from SIM card to Phone.

Tell me about the cu920lg phone net i dont know

Hi!
In order for you to surf the internet using your mobile phone, first, you will need internet settings save on your phone. These files are usually sent to your phone once your service provider detect your phone is not yet setup to be used as internet browser.

If you are in Afghanistan. The service provider is the one who made your simcard. (make sure this simcard is 3G) Once you insert the simcard, your network provider will send Phone Settings on your phone. Just save this files. If it don't, then, you will need to call them and ask for the phone settings for your mobile phone.

Hope this helps!

PUK Code

Hi,a PUK code is for your simcard and not your phone,

Another sim will work ok in the phone,

Your simcard has been blocked due to entering the wrong pin code 3 times, you need to contact your simcard/network provider who will be able to supply you with the PUK code to ublock your simcard, there should be no charge

- Some network providers have an online automatic service for retrieving the PUK if you check on their website,

You enter your mobile number and the PUK code is generated
