I do not repair items, I am an engineer. Contact the manufacturer for a list of repair stations, many now do a flat rate.

Price one on the web and as a general rule if it is under $250 it is probably more cost effective to replace it.

I have lost my instruction manual and cannot change te temperature and humidity settings. How do you do this?

Here is a link to an Owner's Manual for a Haier 45 pint dehumidifier. Not sure if yours exactly like it or not, as you didn't mention a model number. You can download and print the manual for future reference.

http://www.haieramerica.com/cool-heat-air-quality/dehumidifiers/45-pint-capacity-electronic-control-115-volt-dehumidifier-de45ek-7

Look for the download in the left hand lower left on the page.

Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

The motor seems fine, but it no longer collects water or helps the clothes dry. It is an Airforce model BQDD122FW. If it is the heater element, how much should it be to repair, roughly?

Hi,

There are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.

Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier

Dehumidifier is running but no water is in bucket

Can I set my dehumidifier to turn cycle on and off while I am traveling

Normally a dehumidifier will run based on the humidity found in the air in the room it is located in, although many can be set to run all the time.

I don't believe your model can be set to run next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday because you will be home and th NOT run next Friday and Saturday because you will be traveling, for example.

Your machine should run on automatic until the bucket fills with water at which time it should stop running until you empty the bucket. Many buckets offer the feature of adding a drain hose you can run to a drain somewhere. Some people have a floor drain they use for such purposes. Others I have known sit the device on the counter and drain into a sink or in the bath tub and drain that way.

For best dehumidifying results, you should run your machine all the time.

I hope I have answered your quesiton. Thanks for considering FixYa.com

I have an Airforce BQDD122FW Dessicant Dehumidifier. When I bought it last year it worked OK. I have started using it again this year and although the motor appears to run normally it no longer collects...

Hi There, you have faulty heater inside. They are all the same Delonghi, meaco, Logik, ecoair .Airforce

I have done 100s now. If you good you can just twist the wire in the heater and will go again without any problems.

Its just basic steel wire twisted like a spring.

EHUMIDIFIER RUNS FINE BUT NO WATER IN BUCKET

I had the same problem and went for the s**t or bust option, worked for me.... The pipe that feeds water into the bucket had become 'silted' (clogged up and causing water to flood the floor) so I shoved a pencil up it and wiggled it about. Has been perfect ever since.
