ONN N15235 motherboard, which is a 775 socket. I am currently running a Pentium E2160 on its but its pretty slow so I bought an E5400 to replace it. When I changed the CPU over and started up my computer it wont load up the BIOS or do anything. According to pc world if it?s the same socket it should work. Im currently using windows 7 ultimate. The LGA 775 processor socket doesn't matter, calderwooddu.

It's up to the motherboard chipset, and the BIOS program, and version, of what that Foxconn N15235 will support. I would go back to the Pentium Dual Core E2160, use CPU-Z from CPUID.com, (Free), and see what the motherboard chipset is, first.

(Motherboard chipset: The Northbridge, and Southbridge chips. Chip is slang for I.C. Integrated Circuit)

The Northbridge chip is what determines what Processors are supported.

1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motherboard_diagram.svg

2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northbridge_%28computing%29

Since the E2160 is built upon the 65nm technology, and the E5400 is built upon the 45nm technology, the Northbridge chip of the Foxconn N15235 may not support the E5400.

With the technology change are also Instruction Set changes. Plus other parameter changes. The BIOS program, and version on the Foxconn N15235 may not support these, either. Sorry to be a bummer.

Not a solution per se, Yet.

Need to know what computer this Foxconn mobo is out of. (MOtherBOard)
OR, if you get the computer operational again, let's use CPU-Z to see what the motherboard chipset is.
Need help in downloading, and/or installing CPU-Z, post in a Comment.

Overheat errorhow to fix the problemi have Foxconn n15235 G41MD-Vwith pentium CPU

Download and run speed fan and monitor your temperatures to make sure there are no other possible issues. If the computer is unable to turn on, remove the power cable from the power supply on the back of the computer, open the tower, and re-seat all connections including the CPU. I would imagine since the motherboard is a socket 775 you will more than likely you will need to re-apply thermal paste (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007) to the heat sink or you need a new heat sink all together. Since your motherboard is a socket 775, here are a few heatsink/CPU cooler upgrades that may help the problem:
10$ and shorter overall profile since the case size is unknown
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186070
25$ and a bit taller, but I successfully used this heatsink for 7 years before it gave up.

Is it possible to use intel duel core E5400 processor with MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard? or any other motherboard support DDR3?

Hello here is the cpu list, for the asus board:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/P5QLCM/#support_CPU

Here is the msi site:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=Basic

Your current cpu will not fit on the msi board, because it is a different socket.

The asus board has socket LGA 775, and the msi board has socket 1155.

You have to buy a new cpu for the msi board, to make it work.

Here is the cpu list:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75MA-P45.html#/?div=CPUSupport

If you want to keep the socket 775, you probably have to find a used mainboard, because this socket type is phased out.

Some online stores still have this mainboard type available, but a new mainboard will have the DDR3 ram socket.

Good luck

P4M900T-M2 Intel Pentium R dual CPU E2160 1.8 Ghz default BIOS Setting

The CMOS Checksum Bad Error during the pre-booting process only indicates that the CMOS battery is exhausted and it can not no longer save the current BIOS settings, Time settings and many more things.

The first and and the only way, according to me, to solve this problem is to replace the CMOS battery.

Please let us know, if this solution have helped you.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay.

P4 ugrade required

Sadly you wont find any 1066Mhz FSB processors for the Socket 478. The best you can find is the 3.4Ghz with 800Mhz FSB. It might be cheaper and also better value for you to get a Socket 775 based motherboard and Core2 Duo processor. The value range E2160/2180 processors or the E4300/4400 processors have been tested to be even faster than the Socket 775 Pentium Dual 3.4Ghz and they also use less power.

An article on socket 478 for you http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20040123103754.html
