The only button that works is the end button and occasionally the 1 button its happend before and they just replaced my phone but now my warrenty's up and i dont want to pay. i tried restarting and charging and leaving it off for a while but nothing seems to help you can mash all the buttons and the only one that works is the end button also the back light on the main screen stays on. please help thanks a bunch
Same problem with mine! keys stopped working except for the 1 (when held, not the number) and the end (when held, not when trying to escape). what timing! I'm going to try to take it apart and see what happens...
I am relieved to know im not alone with this problem...occasionaly, my screen would freeze and come up yellow and say JUKE emergency download mode in blue lettering. Once I restarted or took the battery out, it was fine until one day my volume up key does nothing and my volume down key turns it up and is stuck there. My back button has switched to being scroll down and my camera button also turns my ring volume up. this has been going on for probably 3 months.
I have the exact same problem. It started yesterday but I didn't even check the phone until someone said they called and I never received the call. Then this morning the phone was off so I power it on and it said the battery was almos dead. I charged it but couldn't look at a text msg that I had received. Now the only button that work is the power button. I bet it has something to do with Verizon network. I will contact them to see what they suggest unless someone fines a fix sooner. Thanks!

Same exact problem with mine. Weird. I didn't think this would be anyone else's problem. Only the end button and the 1 button work. The camera button goes right to camcorder mode.
I say that I have exactly the same problem... It started yesterday. When the trouble started, the phone began to take pictures on its own one after the other, until I hit a bunch of buttons to make it stop... Now only the end button works, and very occasionally the 1 button. I replaced the battery about a few weeks ago. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. There is probably a good explanation for this since I'm the third person to have this problem. Anyone know a fix? Thanks!
I have the exact same problem! Occasional 1 key and all. The phone had what appeared to be a stuck key about a week before, but worked OK after being turned off and on. As far as I know this problem started while it was on the charger overnight (as it usually is). No power issues occurred as far as I know. I had run the 228 updates a few days before this issue. I'm going to take it apart now...

i too have the same problem. it started about 3 weeks ago. the numbers quit working (all but the 1 and the power button) for about a week. then all of a sudden they started working again. then about a week later it happened again. ive tried taking the battery out for a few hours, i've tried leaving it off with the battery in for a few hours....nothting, so i called samsung technical support (what a joke) and all they could say was to send in the phone for repair (for about 70 bucks!!). they were absolutely no help. i really didn't want to spend 70 plus dollars on a 3 year old phone that worked perfect up until 3 weeks ago. i also contacted verizon, also no help. all they could suggest is to upgrade to a new phone. but if i did that i would lose all my ringtones, pictures, etc. if anyone can help with this problem i would really appreciate it!!
