To master reset your Toshiba laptop you will firstly need "Toshiba recovery disk" Then please just follow the steps and you accomplish your task.

1
Power on the laptop. Wait to see the "Toshiba" logo appear on the screen.

2
Press "F12" when the logo appears. This will bring up the utility menu. Click "Restore Original Factory Package" or press "1" to execute. Click "next" to begin the restoration process.

3
Follow the prompts that require you to enter the time, date, name, etc.

Thanks.
Have a great day.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Where is the master reset button

There is no master reset button for a laptop. You can use your recovery feature (if available) or use the disk that came with the laptop to reinstall the software. Either option will give you a fresh start.

Bios password

This is a know issue with Toshiba laptops,
  1. Try the passwords listed here.
  2. If that doesn't work, you will need to send your laptop in to Toshiba, they will charge you if you are not under warranty, unfortunately, they do not reveal the master/reset password or procedures to others.

As you have only state the Toshiba satellite Model without the series, I'm not able to reach to the correct series,

I'm giving you the link from where you can download the user's guide or manual. Just copt the below URL to your web browser

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Download#

Now click "Show all Models > Laptops > Satellite > series ( your Notebook series)

Click "GO"

then click User's guide button and download the manual.

That's it.

Master reset of my toshiba satelite

Put in the restore CD and hold down C while booting, this will allow you to boot from thh CD and select how you want to restore the computer. Alternatively, you can attempt to boot in safe mode with command prompt, and type "chkdsk /r" without the quotes, and press enter., post your results.

Master Reset

Are you just looking to completely erase your hard drive (delete all files from your computer)? If so, try Active@ Kill Disk - it's free. Use directions for Booting from a Floppy Disk if your computer has a Floppy drive or Booting from a CD if you'd rather use a CD.

Hope this helps! : )
