Question about Wurlitzer W 64

Open Question

I have the Wurlitzer Nostalgic Vendor W64. Just recently it has stopped vending. I have used my system for over 3 years and never had any problems with vend before. I get a sold out message even with the bins completely filled. I have both sides set for cans and have some of the other options set for pricing etc. I get the error VEND and when I select the option Vend it shows the code H5 01 or H5 02 (I thought it would say CO 01 or CO 02). I have cleared it several times but still it will not vend even with a test vend. I have visually checked the mechanisms and everything seems to be in order. I have checked the three fuses in front and they also seem to be ok. I was considering reseting the system to the factory default. I have examined the manual very carefully and do not see a H5 code anywhere. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I own a Wurlitzer W64,

The fact your are not being thrown an error code is very unusual. I would be more inclined to contact AutoMat and talk to them. I mean if this were a CLOG error, that is easy to fix, but without the error code, we would just be throwing rocks into the pond. Give them a call and let me know if I can help if you can get some kind of result.

The bill acc. blinks 3 times, bill & cion mechs have been changed, still blinks three times. won't take any money or vend.

Try it without the bill acceptor attached to get the machine working. You did not say what kind of acceptor but three flashes often mean a bad sensor in the unit. Another possibility is that it is disabled from the vendor. Check that all the columns have returned to home position if it is a bag vendor. If it is a pop machine then take off the metal cover over the vend motors and CAREFULLY push down on the microswitches to see if the motors run. Pop may fall out as you do this so watch for it. After running all the motors or homing out all the columns try you machine again. You will probably have to get the bill acceptor fixed though.

What is my Wurlitzer 1015 CD black onyx in perfect condition worth?

There is no set value for these machines. It is simply worth what ever someone is willing to pay. However there are some guidelines. Coast values are always higher, this includes the east and west coast plus the great lakes also count as "coast" pricing. The walnut model is usually a few hundred dollars less than the Black onyx. Of course a dealer would provide service after the sale and usually give you some kind of warranty, you would also expect delivery to be an option. The Dealer would have a higher price tag due to all the extras.

The auction price would be less because you have to take it with you and there would be no warranty, and if it broke a few months, you would be "on your own" trying to find a repair person. This would be the lower price that you would expect to pay.

Here is an example of a walnut model that recently sold on eBay, described as being in mint condition.
Item condition:
Used Ended:

US $1,800.00

This walnut model recently sold for on eBay as well. Notice the wide range in price between the two sales.

Item condition:
Used Ended:

US $3,000.00

Now here is a vending company offering both models. Note the price is much higher due to the quality and the services that are also available or provided.

$7195.00 (Black Onyx)

$6795.00 (Walnut)

I have a Nostalgic Bubbler Rock- Ola CD Jukebox that the sound keeps going on and off

Hello rudy691,

Check out the the phono connections from the Decoder through to the amplifier to make sure all the connections are seated correctly.

The Decoder boards were subject to dry joints around the phono sockets and power regulators on the board. Check out for any cracking around these soldered joints.

I would also look for dry joints (called cold joints in the USA) on the connections on the amplifier.

Yes. You need to set the time correctly then set the background music to play for 8 hours starting at a specific time. The background music only uses the top 20 CDs of the 120.
