Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
If your hard drive is not being detected one of two things are wrong. Ether the Master Boot Record (MBR) for the drive got corrupted. If this is the case the link below will help you go through the steps to address this issue. Note you may need to remove the drive from your PS3 and format it.
The other issue is that the hard drive failed and you will have to replace it. Also not if you do have to pull your hard drive from your PS3 and the full format fails then this also is a sign that the drive failed.
