Whirlpool makes a kit for this, however since you have a gas dryer, you will not be able to vent out the side the gas heater is on.

Take the front panel off and look for the gas valve it should be on the left side, if you need to vent out on the left side you will not be able too.

On whirlpool LG5201XTWOThe dryer wont heat-it over 5 hrs to dry a load. it would not turn off on automatic side & just keeps running. it turned off on the timed side

The clothes are not drying than usually means a venting problem, the vent needs to be clear and no sags to collect moisture also, as short and straight as possible.

Dryer not drying

Check the air vents both the inlet and outlet sides of the fan. Make sure there are no obstructions on the exhaust side all the way to the outside of the home.

I have a Whirlpool Calypso gas dryer, vented in the back. Can the venting be changed to vent out the side?

some dryers have a round "knockout" on either side which would allow for different venting options. You also need to check the ducting inside the machine to determine if it can be re routed without causing a sharp bend or kink that would cause over heating and lower efficiency.

Whirlpool gas dryer LGR6636PWO heats for appro. 5 minutes & quits heating but still runs.

First check the exhaust vent and connecting vent material for a clog. If vent is OK,replace the gas valve coils.

Whirlpool flames on for a few cycles, then no flame,, all therostats have continuity, dryer keeps running on auto dry, tested gas coils seem fine too any ideas?

if you have tested your gas coils then i would probably check your exhaust venting. May be plugged with lint build up...if the vent comes out the side of the house go round the house and see if you have good air flow comming out....hope this helps

I have a Whirlpool gold Ultimate Care II gas dryer and 2/3 times the ignitor glows and lights the gas, 1/3 times it won't. When the gas does light, it doesn't seem like it's getting hot enough to do...

I would suggest the coils on the gas valve . Also check the vent to make sure good air flow is getting out of the dryer . Try disconnecting the vent hose and drying a load to determine if maybe the vent is the problem .

Whirlpool Gas Dryer keeps running on auto dry setting

When you moved the sensor wire on the moisture sensor may have fallen off.
Remove the front panel and locate the wire and the connection. It will be on the right side near the lint filter vent. If it is still connected your timer has gone bad.

Gas Dryer - takes to long to dry

Friend,
huuum At your service!

Sometimes this can happen when the vent line is clogged.

1. Check if the lint filter is full and needs to be cleaned.
Try this first. If the vent line is kinked or blocked
2. Then check if the outside screen covering the exhaust vent if this is even half blocked
with lint there will be no heat! This screen is to keep small animals out!
Try checking this and if it is clogged or the spring loaded door is stuck closed.
Try to clean the lint out of the corners of the flap door,
and or remove the screen permanently!
NO ANIMALS LIKE TO GET BURNT,IT'S HOT IN THAT TUBE!
Take the vent line off the rear of the dryer and try if it works. If it does you know it's the vent line and not the dryer that's the problem the dryer.

You will be fine
Bless You huuum

Steam comes out of dryer after cycle and door is opened

Probably has a restricted vent. Go outside with dryer running and check air coming out vent. Should be a good blast...not just a breath. Clean out the vent and make sure it's not kinked. If it vinyl or foil vent, replace it! Also make sure lint screen is cleaned everytime.
