Hi

Error code C1183 means finishing option elevator drive malfunction. It appears due to tray lift motor failure on the finisher. To trouble shoot the issue turn off the power and open the elevator section to check the elevator motor. Wait for 2-3 minutes and check if the issue is resolved. If this doesn't work then check the alignment of front and rear rollers of the finisher. Also make sure that the finisher exit guide rollers are fine & the paper is exiting properly, open both rear and the front cover and check the lower gears attach is the up/down drive belt. Sometimes this error may appear due to a broken lower gear by the pin slot. Hope this helps...

    Hi

    Try this reset procedure---

Turn off the bizhub. Hold the utillity button down and then turn the main switch on. After the logo appears let go of the utility button and the trouble bar will appear. On the touch bar it will say ok. Turn the main switch off, and then turn back on after 20 seconds.

    Thanks

SOLUCIONAR PROBLEMA DEL ERROR C1183

Did someone leave a trash can or boxes under the output trays? To solve this problem requires removal of the rear cover of the finisher. Then remove the elevation drive motor assemble. Be careful don't want the output trays to fall!!!!!! Then while placing them in their proper position re seat the drive assy. The top tray should be just below the orange rollers (If they are cleaned) you will see several actuators the top tray has to just touch them.

Hi please can you help me to resolve my problem with a bizhub 35 it's get me a code number c1183

Hi elfethi,

This code c1183 is commonly caused by trays in your finisher which are not fully inserted into it's slot. It indicates an elevator motor Ascent/Descent Failure. You may want to try follow these steps that help you address the concern:

1. Check the output bin trays which are at the far left side of your machine.
2. Make sure that they are properly installed into the holders.
3. Then refresh your system by turning it off and on.
4.After doing these, the error should be gone.

If you're still getting the error after making sure that trays are properly installed then this means that the issue is already with the sensors or elevator motor. You will need to contact a local repair man.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

C1183 error

C-1183 = Elevator Motor Ascent/Descent Drive Failure

This code means something is stopping the finisher exit trays from moving. Check your finisher exit trays. Make sure nothing is under them blocking the movement. Make sure they are level and have not been knocked out of place. Open and close the front door and reset the machine power and see if the trays move. They are suppose to move and find home position when resetting.

Its saying the code c1183

Oh wow, you have the talking version!!
Just kiddin' :-)

C-1183 relates to the finisher/sorter on the left hand side of the machine.
Something happend either when the tray was going up or going down.
The machine detected this abnormality.
It could have been a waste paper bin or something under it, or a heavy object placed on top.
Open and close the finisher. It's also worth blowing inside, up by the top cover of the finisher.
There's a sensor in there which can get dusty.

Hope the above helps

Xerox Phaser 8200 false "Replace Paper Tray" message

I've had a similar problem with a client's 8200 printer, and looking at the right hand side of the tray someone had previously put some tape over the topmost 'slot' (above where the green slider goes across).

I put some new tape over the top slot and the 'replace paper tray' message went away.

Admittedly, the tape gets pushed in so I don't know how long it will be before the tape gets dislodged and the error re-appears.

The printer is well out of warranty and they don't want to pay anything to get it fixed... so this solution is fine with them.

Hope this helps someone else out there :-)
