Hi,
I don't know what is the operating system you are using with your computer.Still we can check, first we need to find out if the problem is with the speaker or with the computer.

Try these steps

  • connect those speakers with other computer check the sound, if you are getting sound there it means speakers are ok need to check computer audio setup and hardware.
  • If you are not getting any sound connecting speakers with other computer then it is speakers need to replace.

Incase speakers are ok Disconnect the speakers

  • restart the computer, check if there is windows sound if not
  • right click on the volume control icon on the left hand button corner of the screen, uncheck the mute option.still not getting any sound?
  • try to download the audio driver from the dell support site.still not getting
  • need to check the internal speaker connection,if it is fine
  • go to this website http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and click on Restore sound -windows Audio service and run the tweak,YOU NEED TO USE INTERNET EXPLORER
  • still you cannot hear the sound change the internal speaker.
Even you can check the link for your speaker set up- http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/2593588231.pdf

Hi, click on the "Start Button," in the (right pane) Control Panel, next in the category listings, select Hardware and Sound, open, choose "Manage Sound Devices." The Sound window will open; click the "Playback" button, there should be a Speakers Icon, highlight to open, look below to find the "Properties button, open the next window. There will be (4) four buttons "General, Level... first select the "General" button. Next, in the top of the window there will be a "Driver" button, click on that button, select to "Update Driver." You can go back and "Tour the other areas, Speaker Level etc..." If you have a "MIC" do the same for the Microphone as you have done for (Speakers). Note: "Apply and OK all changes, to take effect. "Restart the computer to finalize the changes." "Rate the solution on it helpfulness, its away of letting me know if you resolved the the problem or you need further assistance, thank you."

I just hooked up an AOC monitor to two computers. Sound is working on one but not working on my HP Pavilion. How do I resolve that? I don't have any extra speakers.

The sound goes out of the computer to a set of speakers. If the monitor has speakers built into it, then the sound comes out of them. Each computer must have a connection to the sound card (the little green hole) to speakers. If you want sound from the second computer, unplug the sound cable from the one computer and plug it into the other one.

Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.

If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.

I hook the system up to my tv and no sound comes out the speakers

If you are using a single black co-ax cable, or three color composit cables, then those are video only.

You will need a seperate cable for sound to the TV, or connect to the computer speakers like normal.

Can't get sound through speakers/headphones

You need to connect the speaker wire coming from the monitor to your PS3 if you want the sound to come out of the monitor speaker. Normally, you need an adapter for this.

No sound coming from speakers

most likely cause is not the speakers, much more likely there is no driver/or corrupt driver for the computers soundcard.look at add remove hardware in control panel, and try to re-install software from your windows disc,or the audio driver disc you got with the pc.no driver present shows as a yellow question mark next to the item which is non-functional.you should, upon not having the software,be able to download the driver from the manufacturers website, free of charge.hope this helps somewhat, steve.
