Zune 30GB I had my Zune stolen, but I am thinking of getting a second hand one. Will my computer recognise it? (I assume it will have a diffrent name) and will I be able to download all my music on there from my Zune collection?

I'm sure that you will not be able to get your music from the connection from your other device because your computer identifies your zune as the name you if you put your "new used one" then it will not come up as " our stolen one "

I had a Zune 30gb and all my music is on my comp with the Zune software. I broke my Zune 30gb and bought a Zune 120gb; but, how do I set this new one up with the software so it can get all my songs?

You will have to re-sync it. You cannot just upload the "image" of your old Zune. You will have to treat is as if you never had a Zune in the first place. You CAN transfer your Zune's name and tags, but you can't have it automatically upload all of the old songs onto it.

Zune 30GB

Try Resetting you Zune. To do this, Hold down the Back button and up on the Touchpad for about 15-20 seconds. If this does not work, I would contact Microsoft.

Zune Auto Reboot

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

30gb zune install

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged

Make sure the OS is compatible

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Can't get my Zune software to forget my device

I had to replace a Zune that was dropped in water. I didn't bother trying to get the Zune program to forget the other Zune. I just attached it and started syncing my stuff. Did you try that? BTW I named the new one the same thing as the old one with no problem.
