Your computer is infected with Adwares (well understood by name :- internet related Virus)

For removal down load trial version of Trojan Remover it will surely remove those viruses

Also after successfull removal of viruses uninstall the trojan remover also.

How to Delete Temporary Files and Delete Prefetch Files from my Computer?

Windows does provide a clean-up tool but there are better and quicker programmes available.

I have been using the free version of CCleaner for several years and find it an adequate way of keeping the junk down to a manageable level. If you can afford to buy software the pro version offers some really useful services.

Tip

VIRUS

The Computer Virus.

Firstly lets understand 1 thing, Virus, Worms, Trojans, Malware, Adware, Spyware etc are different things!!.

A Virus ,, think of it as a program set to do malicious things without your consent.

Antivirus is used to remove a virus. There are different types of antivrus and people rate them differently. Some prefer this ,, some that,, I prefer AVG cause its free :). Any way to the point of this tip.!!

Here is what you dont know about an anti virus. This program will only detect a virus it knows about,, that's why u need regular updates!!! If it doesn't know a virus exist It will never find it. So any antivirus is only as good as it's updates!!.

How does it remove a virus ?

Simple! A virus usually alters the registry, renames a few files, injects it self in others and copies its own files to replace those it renamed. It Keeps itself in memrory and limits the users access to the computer.

The antivirus update contains the checksum of the virus so the antivirus app can detect it. Once found ,, the update also contains info on what the virus does ,, so the antivirus undoes it!..]

There it is quite simple. Remember your antivirus is only as good as it's updates!!

Computer wont stop timing out

Whether you use your computer for home or for work, it is important that it be available when you need it. If your computer keeps timing out, it will take precious time to bring it back to life so you can use it. Fortunately there are some simple changes computer owners can make to keep their computers from timing out and going into sleep mode.

Log on to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel" from the menu. Double-click on the "Power" icon in your computer's control panel. Look at the power settings for each option. Adjust the power options so that the computer's hard drive, monitor and system resources do not turn off. Many computers are set to time out after a period of inactivity, but it can be time consuming to wake them from their hibernation. By changing the power options you can prevent your PC from timing out and make sure it will be there when you need it. Hope this helps.

I hear it's best to turn off PC desktop at nite so virius won't have access to infect my system? What state should and best for me to use i.e.,Hibernite (etc)? ease to come back online in AM?

It really isn't necessary to shut off your pc at night to keep virii out, as long as you have a good running antivirus on it. If you really want to keep things from infecting you at night, then you can simply disable your ethernet port before you go to bed.

I have microsoft home & student but it keeps asking for a key code, cannot afford to buy one, any ideas.thankyou

Hi Donna,

You really only have a few options:
1) Purchase a legit copy of Microsoft Office
2) Download and install Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org

If you really need office as much as you say you do,
you will save up and buy it.

Computer locks up

Do a search for a good system cleaner of hacks viruses and malware and should do this all in one simple run tool.

You need to look for COMBIFIX.exe 3.39mb when you run it turn off all antivirus checkers and leave on your internet in the first stages of the setup.

This will sort your system and speed it up too. This must be done at your own risk, one thing i have noted it does is to provide a recovery option at boot and it changes your internet options back to internet explorer.

NO!!! DON'T DOWNLOAD ANY OF THE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE I HAVE MENTION BEFORE.
THEY ARE THE TOJAN VIRUS.

It seems you have a virus on your machine , that is why I mention the software before.

get a good nativirus software i.e; symantec. Mcafee, TrenMicro etc.......
go to http:\\www.trendmicro.com and get the house call antivirus. This is online scan, it may take a while for it to completed the virus scan but I think it is worth the time.

please let me know if you still have the problem.
