Dx4450 Hi, Marian here, I very gently pulled a piece of A4 paper out of the printer as it was stuck and now it will not print. I have turned it off and back on, cancelled all waiting jobs in the queue etc. but it still will not print. I have lost the instructin booklet so I can't look it up either. Cam anyone help or suggest anything please? Thanks Marian.

Paper feed jams on right hand side after I pulled bits of an A4 that came out ripped

You did not get all the pieces of that A4 paper out of the paper path. There is still a small shard of paper in the right side of the paper feed area. Use a flashlight to look carefully in the paper feed area and gently use tweezers to remove the piece of paper. If you pulled the sheet of A4 paper backwards out of the feed area, you may have dislodged the paper feed sensor (a small plastic finger that sticks down in the paper path to tell the printer that the paper has passed.) Be careful with the tweezers... if you break that sensor, there is no fixing it.

Turn off, unplug, and open the printer. Wait for some time to let the printer cool down. Pull out the print cartridge, if you do not see the paper jam. Gently remove the paper by pulling it. Inspect the rollers.

A piece of paper is stuck in the roller

This is an easy fix but be careful not to break the roller!

First power off the printer.
All you have to do is open the printer like you would to replace the ink.
You will see the piece of paper that is stuck in the roller.
Gently take a hold of the paper and pull it out slowly.
Try and pull the paper away from the roller the same way it would move through the roller during normal printing.
Once you removed the paper close the printer hatch and power on.

Feel free to let me know if this solution worked for you!

Paper Jammed.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

A piece of paper got stuck in the printer. I pulled it out,but now the print of the words is flawed. How do I clean the printer heads?

If the paper tore, piece it together and make sure there is no paper bits left stuck in the paper feed-path.

Failing that, remove the cartridges and then remove the print head. Wash it under warm water. Dry with paper towel or toilet paper by blotting it gently. Then run a nozzle check and a nozzle clean.

Have you removed the pull off tape from the top of the cartridges, it lets air in enabling the ink to flow, easy mistake!

.Torn paper jammed in the printer. I cannot see the torn bits.

Check on the very left hand side of the printer if you can see specks of paper inside, you can open up the printer cover to be able to see or locate where the specks of paper if there is any. make sure as well that the tray for the cd is properly push in or not open, chances if all fails is your paper sensor is damaged, call epson for replacement if under warranty. If not have it serviced.

Hope this helps

When we put the computer to print, the paper dosen't want to go thru. The printer jams the paper or it tells me that I have no paper, when it does. the error is (E3). We ready checked and we don't find...

Hi Everyone
I had this very annoying issue today. Checked everything and there seemed to be nothing wrong. Everything was clean!!! I was so annoyed.

Then I took the best solution listed up top and solution # 3. I turned off my printer. Switched the paper guide to A4. Folded my piece of paper as state in "Best Solution". I really made sure the paper was in the rollers.

I opened the top of my printer to be able to see the paper inside the printer. I turned the printer on. As soon as the printer rollers started going. I started to gently pull the paper from the inside.

The paper got caught in the rollers and the printer started going. Out came a piece of cereal that my daughterhad stuck in there that i could not see!!!!!

Now it is working fine!!!!!
good luck!
