If you have a wireless connector try attatching a peice of copper wire to one of the signal readers (plastic stick things) and line it up against a wall or another nearby solid object, and then move your modem or broadband.
If you have a wired connector then make shure the wire is firmly pushed in to the plug on both ends and that the wire is in sraight, flat and not with to many bends in it.

Then go to system settings and go to network settings then test xbox live connection. If the box on the right reads xbox live is up and runing, then sign back in and go to my pro file and join xbox live.

P.S: you may be asked for a amarican adress while joing xbox live, so make sure you know someone amarican.

My xbox 360 wont connect to xbox live and ive tried everthing

things you can do..... first start by connecting your 360 to the router and run a test through the system setting menu on your 360 dash board.... to do this go to system setting menu and select the network setting menu.... after selecting network setting there should be an option to test you`xbox live connection.... this is the first step in trouble shooting.... if your xbox connects to the network or router than the problem may be in the Internet connection.... after you have a connection between the xbox and the router... connect the router to the Internet and run the the test again... if you are connected to the network and the internet but still not to xbox live try doing a system update to update your system with xbox live.... after doing all of these steps you may have purchased and xbox that has been banned from xbox live and will not be able to join xbox live..... a more simple solution is that you may not have an xbox live account and simply need to set one up... this can be done through the xbox or you can go to www.xbox.com and set up a live account... you can also find FAQ's and trouble shooting steps there

Trying to get xbox live

You have to purchase an xbox live membership, and then you can connect with an ethernet cord right to the consel from your modem, or purchase the wireless adapter for it.

Connecting to xbox live failing

The xbox live board is down,so if you pass all tests except the xbox live one, this is the problem.I rang them and they said over 50% of users are having this problem. Its because so many people went on it over Christmas and the system got overloaded. They said they're working on it and it should be up and running in a week or two. ~~PS~~ I rang on the 12-1-08 so it should be up by the 20th,its not your fault, the servers down.
