You can recover pictures by connecting the camera or memory card to the computer in storage device mode (if camera asks, memory card wont ask)

And using a program called FileScavanger. Althought it is not 100% guaranteed that you would be able to obtain the pictures.

http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm

Unfortunately it is not a free program, but noting good never comes free.

as for fixing your camera, whats wrong with it?

okay - please post me the brand and model of your camera and I'll look up the instructions on how to perform a reset.

You can do a simple reset by just removing the battery(or batteries) from it for a moment.

My son erased all the photos he took of his birthday by mistake. is there any chance of getting them back? DIsney digital 1.3 mega pixel

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

Your camera is not able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try the one at THIS LINK

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.

My camera erased my pictures

These cameras have an internal store and also can use a card. So, when you add a card, it is writing to that store and only shows you the pictures stored there unless you change the device settings or remove the card.
If so, the images you have on the EasyShare One internal store may be originals
Another possibility is that you did a BragBook synch to EasyShare and you might be able to see these images in your 'Favorites' view. The 'Camera Favorites' or BragBook pictures are a smaller version of original images, to allow you to carry more pictures with you to share, but these pictures may be a lower resolution version of the images you took. They would be sufficient for printing 4x6 pictures, but not enlargements.
Change to Favorites mode to see if they show up that way.
Good luck!
DigiChick.

use a recover program...like the one used to recover data from formated dvds..and use it on your memory card, inserted into a card reader..I dont suggest you to use it in the camera
and you can do the same with moving pictures..use the copy/paste option...put them into the card...attention...only D40X made pictures..
good luck;)
