Extremely hot = hardware issue = replace the player. sorry.

Last ditch effort:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

There are no repair svcs for this product.

Hii, I have sony mp3 player, model NWZS616F. It will transfer the songs from the Computer, but when I unplug it to use it, the songs are simply not there. Can you please help me on the same ASAP.

If you're getting a "Library Error" type message, you can try the following fix, but it will DELETE all music files currently on your player....

(1) Go to the main control screen (press BACK button for about 2 seconds)

(2) Select the SETTINGS icon (looks like a briefcase)

(3) Press PLAY button

(4) Select COMMON SETTINGS

(5) Scroll all the way to bottom and select FORMAT

(6) The player will ask if you want to delete all data. Select YES each time to delete all songs (takes about 1 minute to complete)

(7) Reload ONE tune only and see if the player will now play it

(8) Reload all your other tunes

(9) Finished ! :-)

Bad track and Battery

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged.
Remove the songs from the player and then reload them. If they are froma subscription service, make sure they do not have fixed-term licenses on them. Right-click song --> Properties --> digital rights or media usage rights
Use Windows Media Player to view the songs that are stored on your mp3 player - best to view them in the "Sync" tab. Find the song that you want to delete, right-click the song, and select Delete (or left-click and press Delete on your keyboard). Voila!

There is a fix, but it is going to delete all the songs off the player, so you will have to reload them. Disconnect the Sansa Clip from the computer. Slide the power button up for 15 seconds to turn the Sansa Clip off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer

Having issues

This problem is well known for mp3 players the solution is to do player updates.

If that doesn't work format your mp3 player by going on to the software you tranfer songs to the payer with and formatting from there (not deleting the songs) do it the correct way which should work.

If there isn't a format option on the software go to "My Computer", look for the device on there preferably called "Removable device" make sure it's the mp3 player right click on it and click "Format", once format is complete do player updates then use it as you would and see if the problem has be fixed.

Good luck. Hope my solution helped.
