First of all try looking in your system Hardware Devices and make sure it hasn't been disabled people sometimes do this when using an alternative device. It may have a yellow warning symbol next to it. You may even need to install the driver for this, Trusted download, sign up required, you may find this free download elsewhere but be sure its the driver you want and that its not fake.

Wireless signals use the frequency 2.4 GHz for 802.11b&g&n
make sure the absence of a device using the same frequency to avoid interference. i. e. wireless phones.

if there are other wireless networks around, try to change the broadcasting channel of the wireless router, for instance, if its running WiFi on channel 1, change it to channel 11

on other thing that affects wireless signals is water, or moisture in general, it absorbs the signals energy so try to avoid things that carry water in them like plants and/or aquariums.

check and let me know if your problem is not wireless signalling.

I want to use my router only to extend my signal how must i set it up on my intellinet wireless

what signal is low the sender or receiver???
I assume you have a wireless device thats receiving a low signal,ie wireless Laptop or wireless desktop or PS3 ,cellphone or Media Player

The spec for your unit will be on the manufacters site free to veiw
search your model and make, manuals for set up and drivers in download area on their site too.

Im not sure what brand and make you have so to check
turn it over and check the model is on a sticker on the bottom, normally.

make sure all devices can see the signal send and receive
your could check all ip address on the wireless network too
making sure theyre on the same sub net as
the wireless devices',ip address

depending on the model of the wireless and the operating system its being used with ie,networking home versus an internet cafe
average distance for a home is around 30 to 50 metres and this is depends on what he construction of the area its being used in.
wooden home or steel whare house may have interference issues that may be resolved easily by some good careful planning, installing in a good genral location to cover all areas intending on required coverage area.A good security function is essential in every network both public and private so be sure to take care there too,

make sure your machine devices have had updates to accomodate the wireless devices, etc,

Whot can i just plug into a u.s.b. port to inprove my reception on my laptop in spain ?

Linksys, Belkin and Netgear have several USB wireless adapters, and there are literally thousands on ebay. I personally suggest a PCMCIA card, I use a Netgear WPN511 in my Dell C840, which improves my signal up to 300 yards, but there are high-gain (Danets-Yagi) types that are better for more remote areas (up to a mile)
