Question about Lexicon MC-1 Amplifier

1 Answer

My Lexicon MC-1 recently stopped working. It will be working fine, then suddenly crash. When I say crash, I mean all of the lights on the display will flash in unison a couple times, then the LCD panel will show that it's running a diagnostic. The flashing lights and diagnostic will repeat. Powering it off and on will sometimes provide a temporary fix, but this began happening frequently enough that I have since removed the component. Do you know what the problem might be? Solution?

My lexicon mc 12 pre amp won't power on. The lead

There may be a secondary fuse inside the unit, if not the problem will be in the power transformer, if you are handy with a digital post back and I will give instructions on testing the transformer.

My remote controll stopped working.Ichanged the batteries but still nothing!!!

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.
Zoom in on the picture of the original remote provided on the site (or look at your own) and get the actual remote model number.

or check eBay: search for "(model of the device or the remote) remote", check the 'include description' box. Usually cheaper than the vendors.

Troubles during the upgrad from V2 to V3

Hi Louna_st
There are apparaently some hardware upgrades to be done also to get the v2-v3 upgrade to work. try the following procedure to get the unit back to v2 again and at least get it operating.

To reload v2 turn off the MC-12. Hold down the four buttons in the middle column of the middle zone on the front panel and turn the MC-12 back on from the rear panel. Keep holding the buttons down until the Lexicon says 'waiting for download' on the front panel. When it is like that you should be able to reload v2.
