As far as I know.there are two possibilities to get this error..
1)Sim card not inserted properly:
Try to insert the sim properly..insert it at the desired position
2)Phone may be locked with a particular network:
If the phone is locked with a particular network then you need to unlock
it.You can get the unlock service for your Blackberry 9360 Curve from either your network provider or
third party unlocking service provider like, unBBlock.com and
remove the network lock. Once unlocked it will
work with other networks.
3)Sim Problem:
Mostly this won't be in your case because the sim had been working fine
with your previous Nokia mobile and also the phone gives the same error
message when you insert other sim cards.
4)Hardware Problem:
There might be some loose connection give it to a hardware service shop and check.
I assume that your iphone is not locked to any cell phone company ...
Insert your SIM in your old phone/another phone and remove the SIM pin lock/password, then try this unprotected SIM again in your iphone. Once it is accepted in the iphone, put the SIM lock/password back using the iphone. Hope it helps.
It shows Sim Error or else Invalid Sim...Or even though Sim Inserted it asks "Insert Sim" If it says anyone of the error like that means Your Mobile is Locked To Network ..You need T Unlock it to insert other Network Sim GSM Sim Card.... It may Due to Network lock...it will show like "Insert Sim".,Sim Error",Invalid Sim",Insert Sim" this resembles it locked to some Network,You need to Unlock it...You can get the Unlock code at reliable cost at here http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/samsung-monte/rs1wp9/ and unlock the Mobile from the Network Lock.
Either inserting it incorrectly or a defective/locked SIM from another service provider that is locked to only work on their phones... usually the phone will say "invalid SIM" however...

his will also bring the phone to default settings 1. First do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# (star 2767 star 2878 hash) turn off the phone
2. take out the battery and sim and put non-network SIM and insert it half way only, so it won't ask for network password and when it shows "Insert SIM" message. Only then fully insert the sim without removing battery or turning it off (tip: use a pin to push the sim in)
Now put the battery ,and switch the phone on .(phone shows "Insert SIM" message.)
3.With out turn off the phone push the sim fully in. At this stage the phone is still asking to "Insert SIM"
4. Make a FULL reset by typing: *2767*3855#(star 2767 star 3855 hash)
5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside.
6. Make a Change the NCK password to 8 zeros by typing: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#(star 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros star 8zeros hash)
7. Now Disable network lock By typing: #7465625*638*00000000#(hash 7465625 star 638 star 8zeros hash) Phone is unlocked (check with *#7465625#)
