Hi, I have a 16gb Iphone, I unlocked it with Ziphone and it worked great for 2 weeks. Then It started to loose signals and now has no bars on the indicator at all. It wont send or receive either calls or SMS. The rest of the unti including you tube and wi fi works great. I even downloaded a radio onto it and it works great.

    Just no phone service.

    Does anyone know whats wrong?

Try calling the apple support line for now I will look into your problem and post another comment if I find anything. I heard that the 3G iPhone is coming out in Australia on June 9 as it is in the US.  Best regards, I will look into it.

I downloaded iOS 10 on my iPhone and the next day it drained my battery to the point it won't recharge

Then you should connect your iPhone to iTunes. It'd require an computer with OS X/Windows.

So first put your USB cable into the computer, then you'd need to open iTunes (download link: iTunes Download) then click on the phone icon.

Error 1015 in iTunes iphone 3g Model no a1241...

  1. Disconnect the USB cable from your iPhone, but leave the other side connected to your Mac or PC
  2. Launch iTunes
  3. Press and hold down the Home and Sleep/Power button on the top of the iPhone to turn off the iPhone
  4. Press and continue to hold the Home Button while you reconnect the USB cable to your iPhone, this will cause the iPhone to turn on
  5. Continue to hold the Home button until an alert message in iTunes informing you that an iPhone in recovery mode has been detected. Your iPhone is now in recovery mode. If you have not launched iTunes, you will see the familiar screen of the USB cable pointing at the iTunes logo signaling to connect the iPhone to iTunes to start recovery.
Once you're in recovery mode, you can either restore the iPhone or adjust the firmware as necessary.
After restoring or upgrading firmware, your iPhone will automatically reboot and exit recovery mode on it's own.

My phone is not starting

You will probably need to reboot into recovery mode and restore your phone. To get into recovery mode, make sure your phone is connected to you computer with a usb cable, then you need to hold down the sleep button and the home button down at the same time for 10 seconds then release the sleep button. Continue holding the home button down until iTunes detects a phone in recovery mode, once it's in recovery mode you can press the restore from within iTunes.

Frozen screen on ipod 4, have tried hard reset, forced recovery, no response, screen is on text msg.

I have seen this!
even though the screen is till on, pretend its not OK!

lets try forced recovery.

have iPod unplugged, itunes running on pc/mac

hold down home screen button & then plug into pc/mac

continue holding.....like 45 - 80 seconds (really)

iTunes (may) finally find an iPod in recovery mode, let off button, hit ok on pc/mac then restore

Hope it works!

You could try putting the phone into recovery mode, then resetting the firmware through iTunes. To enter recovery mode you must: 1) Open iTunes and connect your iPhone 2) Press and hold the home button and the sleep button at the same time. 3) After 10 seconds, release the sleep button but continue holding the home button After following these steps, your iPhone should now be in recovery mode and ready to be restored using iTunes. Good luck!

I reset my iphone 3g and now its been frozen for 2 days, it only shows start-up apple logo. please help!

Do a hard reset.
  1. Press-hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
  2. Continue holding both buttons (Ignore the "Slide to power off") until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.
  3. You may let go when you see the silver Apple logo.
  4. You have completed a hard reset successfully.
  5. Don't be alarmed that it takes quite a while to load from the Apple logo to the main screen. This is normal.
If this does not work, put into recovery mode and restore from itunes.
Step One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

Step Two
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

Step Three
As soon as the screen goes black release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

The iPhone will look like this:
