Question about Maytag MAH6700AWW Neptune Front-Load Washer
We have turned off, unpluged and tried to restart washer on every possible cycle.
Make sure it is installed correctly - there are 4 yellow plugs at the back that need to be taken out.

Tips for a great answer:
Hi claire64 - Usually when "PAU" displays on the screens, it indicates that the unit thinks that the door is not securely latch when you started the cycle, or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume washer. If proves to be ineffective, try reprogramming the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and resume cycle. If fault reoccurs, then it typically means that the unit either has a faulty door latch assembly or a communication error from the control board. Since there are cost differences in parts, it is always a good idea to have a service tech properly diagnose your appliance.

Hello Harry - From what you have described the washer may possibly have a communication problem with the control board or a defective cord or wiring. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately two minutes and turn on the washer and select a normal cycle. If the washer continues to skip cycles then I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the unit.
