I have a toshiba satellite A205-S5809 and after a bios upgrade it will not power up. Can anyone help me?

A bios update should not cause the laptop to fail in powering up. Regardless, whether you used the correct bios update or not, the laptop should still power on. You may not be able to boot to windows, but you should still power up.

You are have hardware failure unrelated to bios change.

Downgrade to Windows XP.

Due to the fact of the many people that wish to downgrade to Windows XP, many computer distribution companies keep current driver software that is compatible with the various Windows OSes. I checked the Toshiba website for drivers for the Satallite A205-S5809 and they have drivers for WIndows XP, XP SP2/SP3, Vista 32-bit, and Vista 64-bit. They have all the drivers you should need to make the changeover. I hope this helps.
