If you forgot your password, we can actually access the router web ui.

Accessing the Router's Web-based Setup Page

Step 1: Open your web browser.

Step 2:Enter your router's IP address on the address bar and press the Enter key.
NOTE: The router's default IP address is http://192.168.1.1.
Step 3: The Enter Network Password window will then appear. Type your router's User name and Password. Click OK afterwards.

Web-based Setup Page Wireless Security Options

On the web-based setup page, you'll be able to see all of your router's wireless security features. Wireless settings wherein you can see your network name and once your click wireless security sub tab under wireless page you will then see your network key or password (passphrase).

Cannot load web interface

Hi,

You said that you cannot change anything on the router setup page, right? Have you tried to clear your browser's cache or used other browser or other PC to isolate the problem? There's a possibility that you are just seeing a web cache of the router's UI which could be the reason why everytime you change something it just goes back on the status page.

Ativa router and at&t

there is a link in the motorola UI that allows it to be put in "bridged mode" so you can configure the router. however, before you do this, i suggest you have to make the motorola (is it 2100?) modem work with your computer, connect this modem to your computer using ethernet connection, access the UI (192.168.1.254), type your user id & password in the login page, then connect. make sure that you are able to connect to the internet. then access the UI again, click on "advanced" choose PPP location. in the PPP location page, click on bridged mode, that will restart the modem automatically, & you will notice the modem's internet light will turn off. then you can connect the ativa router to this modem using manufacturer's instructions. you can now login to the router's page and make the necessary changes.

2. Do you know how to access the routers web ui? If Yes, then try to go to Tools > Firmware Upgrade

Hope this helps!

I cannot connect to the router. What else can I try?

The wireless router UI can be accessed from a wireless client. From what you have described, you should have been able to enter the UI. First, uncheck "Automatically Detect Setting" thus leaving all boxes in the "Connections" tab unchecked. This will force IE to find a connection without looking for a proxy. If having trouble accessing the UI, try entering in :88 after entering the router's internal IP in the address bar (192.168.2.1:88). This will tell the browser to use port 88. If that does not work, power down the router for 30 seconds and power it back up. Renew the IP adapter setting on the PC (as a precaution) and verify the IP address is 192.168.2.xx. You should be able to access the UI.
