You always need a driver for things to work. Look in your device manager.
Right click (my computer) go to properties then device manager and look at you video to see if there is a question mark for the driver.

Sounds like it might be getting too hot and/or going bad. Not sure how to diagnose this without seeing it myself. That is the best that I can do. Your video card could be going bad. Try another video card on that monitor. This will be the only way to decide if it is the card or monitor. Try it on another machine and see what it does.

If you still can't find the driver let me know and I will try to find it for you. You will have to let me know the make and model of the video card. If it is onboard you can go to the Dell site and find the driver there.

Can you please let me know if this solved your problem?

A quick check would be the VGA cable connection to the back of the PC and monitor. Make sure they are snug and completely connected.
Some monitors have the VGA cable attached as a separate item and not built into the monitor. If the 15pin plug becomes loose it will show the problems you're describing.
If that doesn't fix it, Next plug the monitor into a known good PC. If the problem still exists, you have a bad monitor...If the monitor works fine on the known good PC, the Video Card/Onboard video interface is bad and will need to be replaced.

Screen said please check video cable connection?

This is an indication that the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer. Check both ends of the video cable - both the connection to the monitor as well as the connection to your computer's video card, and make sure that both are secure. If the connections are secure and the problem persists, buy a replacement video cable. If that fails to fix the issue, try swapping out a different video card.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

When i switch on my pc the monitor display a blue power light for 5 seconds and then it turns to orange and nothing displays on screen.

Make sure you have connected the Video cable properly, Please disconnect the Video cable from the Computer and connect the monitor only to the power source. If you monitor shows anything like "Check video cable" or "No Signal" that means the monitor is working fine. You just need to connect it properly to the computer

For any further assistance feel free to get back with your comments .

System boots up but no image on monitor i have checked the monitor it works fine both fans are working no beeps no image what could the problem be

sounds like your power supply is toast, or your video card is improperly seated in its slot. or maybe its simpler than that , how many video ports are on the back, check your monitor cable to the computer, try other VGA ports if they exist. ( need to boot it after the connection is made)

My monitor says "no input signal" every time I put it on. I have checked all the wires and connections and they seem fine. Any suggestions?

Starting from the monitor and going to the video connection to your computer, make sure everything is connected and undamaged. If your video card has more than one output, try switching the cable to the other output. If neither is working, and the monitor works fine from a different computer, then its the video card, otherwise its the monitor. But again, before dropping any money on a new monitor, try a different cable, and try switching the cable to the second output if there is one. A video card is definitely cheaper than a monitor.

When i turn on my computer instead of booting up it says monitor going to sleep and its brand new motherboard how do i fix it?

There are more than one reasons why your computer screen still dark when you start it. To determine the problem please check the cable which connect the monitor to the computer make sure its connect properly, if the problem still exist, you can also try using another VGA cable to see if the cable is bad,if you still see the problem then you will need to buy video card and install it in your computer and this should solve the problem.
If this solve the issue please vote for me
Thank you

22" FLAT LCD FROM LG

make sure the lcd monitor is connected to a voltage regulator because if your electricity is fluctuating then that might be a cause of the flickering of the monitor. make sure also that the video card of your operating system is configured properly and the drivers are working fine.
