When I switch on the camer it shows card locked. Not in a position to use the same. Please advise how to resolve the issue T K Raveendran

I TURNED THE CAMER AON THE "PROTECTED CARD" SHOWED ON THE SCREEN. HOW DO I GET RID OF IT ? THANKS.


You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, so I'm going to assume it uses SD cards.

Can get it out of the protected card mode -


Hi,

Some memory cards have a Write Protection switch on them.

To check this please remove the Memory card from the camera. Check if there is a "lock" switch on the left side.
Slide this switch to the "Unlocked" position, and reinsert the card into the camera.

This should resolve the issue and the error should go away.

In case the issue persists, it could mean the the write protect on this card was perhaps set by mistake while it was connected to the
computer.

You will need to use the computer to cancel the read-only setting.

Please connect the card to your computer through the camera or a card reader and cancel the write protect on the card.
Right click on the card and go to properties and uncheck the "Read Only" box.
