Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC

1 Answer

This is the first time it's happened to me, but it's happened twice today now while I've been watching streaming videos. I had multiple videos loaded in multiple tabs, only playing one at a time. The first time, the screen blinked white twice rapidly, then the firefox browser hung, and then the computer blue screened. The second time, the screen blinked black twice rapidly, then the browser continued functioning as normal, but the computer then immediately blue screened again. Anybody know what's up with this? Specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000 3.01 GHz 2.00 GB DDR3 RAM Dual Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphic cards (SLI connected) Windows XP Also, my graphics cards are only showing as running on motherboard SLI, even though I'm using a SLI connector cable, it's a ribbon cable instead of a solid one, because of the distance between the cards, so that may have something to do with it. Just as a side-note, anyone know why it's not working correctly?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Stops and starts when playing HD videos online

You did not state whether this is happening via PC, laptop, you tube, kodi box, etc so I have given you a broad set of advice. If, as I suspect, you are either string from a kodi type box or online service, the most likely answer to your problem will be one of the following:

low bandwidth from internet provider or router settings. (Speak with provider support to improve this, although some providers do this deliberately at certain times of the day) the solution to this is to watch the movie at a lower setting; 720p, HQ setting etc. Watch at a less busy time of the day.

The server you are watching the HD movie from is busy or lacks the band width to stream multiple connections at a time. (More likely just busy especially with popular films)
Solution; watch at lover quality setting or try another server address or connection if posible.

If this happens just on HD then it is likely to be one of the above but if it happens on any streamed movie at lower quality settings too, you may have to think about checking router cables and connection integrity.

Stop buffering/flickering when watching a video

Unless the device you are watching the video on is from the stone age, most equipment today is more than capable of streaming video. That said, the most common causes of video buffering/flickering are:

  1. Slow internet connection speed. DIal-up, DSL, and most of the lowest tier cable speed rates often cannot handle video streaming.
  2. Time of day. Watching video streams from places like Youtube during peak internet hours in your area will often cause buffering issues due to high demand on ISP bandwidth.
  3. Too many apps running/not enough memory available for the viewer app.
