First clear all w/ ON/AC.
Enter the tax rate desired eg. 7 for 7% (can you tell I'm in PA)
Press RATE then TAX+
Press C/CE.
The next time you use TAX+ it will calculate and add the value that you set.
Do the same for TAX-, you can use a different value for each as they are separate memories.

Yes I have the solution and it works:-
1 Press : " ON/OFF " Button [Maybe " ON/AC "]
2 Enter rate you want (for 17.5% enter 17.5)
3 Press " RATE " Button
4 Press " TAX+ " Button
5 Press " % " Button
6 Press " ON/OFF " Button

Done - hey that wasn't that bad was it !

Do the same for the TAX- Button instead of TAX+

Hope this helps somebody.

Excellect, it worked, just do this from solution 1:

Type in the rate of tax you want to use, then press rate and then press tax+

Setting date on Staples SPL-P500 calculator


You press TIME and then you have a button = (it's also written SET on it) press for few second, it will flash, you can now set the date, DD-MM-YYYY than =/SET than TIME again then, =/SET you can now set the time ( the button X / AM-PM to set am or pm) you press =/SET when you're done, and you're set !

How to I add the +tax and -tax to the calculator?


set the button on the top right to RATE SET, the one on top left to F, the one in the middle to 5/4. TAX % will appear, choose your amount, and press for few second on TAX + turn your calculator off and back on and you're done, you can repeat for TAX -.

How do I program the calculator tax+ Tax- buttons?


1. How to set/ change "Tax Rate"

(1) If "Rate set" is printed above [%] key with your calculator,
1. Press [AC] and hold [%] for about two seconds.
2. Input Tax Rate and then [%].
* You can check Tax rate by pressing [AC] and then inputting [TAX+]


(2) If "Set" is printed above [%] key with your calculator,
1. Press [AC] and hold [%] for about two seconds.
2. Input [TAX+].
3. Input Tax Rate and then [%].

* You can check Tax rate by pressing [AC] and then inputting [TAX+]



2. How to calculate Price-plus-Tax and Price-less-Tax.

(1) How much is Price-plus-Tax of 100?
Press [AC], and input 100 and then press [TAX+].

Calculator will display 105 if tax rate is 5%

If you press [Tax+] again, it will show the tax amount..


(2) How much is the Price-less-Tax of 105?
Press [AC], and input 105 and the press [TAX-].

Calculator will display 100 if tax rate is 5%

If you press [Tax-] again, it will show the tax amount..

Change the tax rate on calculator on MS-8TV


SETTING YOUR TAX RATE
you hold your set % button down for three seconds until set shows again, then hit tax rate button it shows your tax rate, change your tax rate then hit set your tax rate should be set.
