Add another layer of fire blanket under your floor carpet , this does mean removing all seats and any consoles that are in the way , but this does work !, you can also remove door panels and paint on bitumen sealer inside door skins this is the metal part of the inside of each door , also it has been known that some people have painted a layer of bitumen behind engine bay on the fire wall as it is called , this also cuts engin noise down , but i suggest layers of fire blanket first under floor covering then carpet over the top , softer on the feet and much quieter..

Ac makes whining noise on a 2004 Pontiac grand prix

Is the whining noise coming from the engine compartment where the compressor is located or is the noise coming from inside the car? If the noise if coming from inside the car it could be your blower. When a blower wears down the bushing is the first thing to wear down and it begins to have play. That makes the blower/fan vibrate making a loud whining noise. Replacing the blower could solve that whining noise.
If the noise if coming from the AC compressor, it also could be a bad bearing within the compressor.

I have a 2004 pontiac grand am and when I drive over 70 MPH and allow my car to slow down on its own the front shakes and makes thudding noises what do I check for and how can I fix this?

This sounds like a worn out cv joint. You should have a qualified mechanic check it out. It is impossible to say for sure what it is without checking it.

2004 grand am weird noise

Have you noticed if the noise changes while doing a swerve to the left or right ? If so , it is likely a wheel bearing & will require replacement of the entire hub .
