Check step by step I hope you will done:
1. First of all set jumper setting where you want to place it there are four stages i.e. (i) Primary Master which you already have.(ii) Primary Slave. (iii) Secondary Master. (iv) Secondary Slave. Most of Hard Disks have Jumper table on it. (2) Check Bios Setup where you can see parameters of Hard disk if automatically deducted by the Bios.
NOW if you already have done above mentioned steps, check the data cable which is also named ribbon or flexible cable which might be cracked elsewhere. Change the same, you will done. INSHALLAH.
