Question about Brother Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer
The paper pickup sensor is faulty or the pickup mechanism is broken.
Printer needs repairs but, simple things you can do to see if the problem goes away is to unplug the machine for a moment hold down the power button, for 10 seconds, then plug back in and turn it on. If the paper is still not picking up, then its definitely a hardware problem, the printer has a mechanical fault or a sensor is faulty.
Your going to need a service manual if you wish to try fixing this yourself at home, the paper path is very complex and full of small parts that work together. taking this apart at home, its going to produce alot of small parts, without documentation - manual its going to be a major headache and the printer might get worse... I would not recommend attempting to fix it yourself.
