Question about Samsung HLT6176S Television

I have a Samsung HLT6176SX/XAA. Can anyone tell me what a blinking green and blinking red light mean? Sounds like it is trying to power on but no picture comes up.

It is saying your lamp door is not inplace or closed right.
As for the lamp I bought one at Apexlamps.com over a year ago and it is still woring.

Hello. I had the same problem your having. You need to replace the lamp. I bought a replacement lamp on ebay for $99.00 (Lamp code: BP96-01795A (P132W). They don't last long though. After 4 months I have hundreds of white spots on my screen.

    I have had a similar problem replaced the lamp myself very easily. Whatever you do DO NOT purchase a bulb online from a company named ADVANCED LAMPS,LLC. 824 DIXWELL AVENUE
    HAMDEN,CT 06514. They have the WORST customer service on bulb replacement. Purchased bulb from them with credit card received bulb it lasted 54 days from date of purchase, mind you it took 7 days for order to process and arrive at my door for installation. Their warranty starts from date of your order purchase not date of installation, warranted for 120 days. Mine went out the week of the NFL playoffs, we went on line and ordered the replacement bulb immediately thinking it would be installed before the Super Bowl game. We had to email Advanced lamps with description of what occurred prior to bulb going out along with all purchase order information before it would be approved for an authorization return shipping label.Once we received this it had to be shipped from Illinois to CT to be inspected and evaluated for warranty replacement. We were notified on February 3, 2011 that it was approved for replacement from the manufacturer and it was pending processing as soon as Advanced Lamps received the product from the manufacturer it would be shipped out to us. I was unaware on purchase of the bulb that ADVANCED LAMPS,LLC was not the manufacturer and we would be involved with a third party . Today is March 15, 2011 and we have in the mean time purchased another replacement bulb from PUREGLARE.COM and we received the bulb and it was installed in less than 7 business days. To this date we still have not received bulb replacement from ADVANCED LAMPS,LLC. What we were informed was it has been credited back to our credit card after sending 8 emails inquiring about this purchase and our dissatisfaction with their customer service given . The problem with the re-crediting the credit card that card destroyed and replaced with a new card number after the first bulb was initially purchased October 26, 2010. This company ADVANCED LAMPS should be avoided at all cost when replacing any projection tv bulb they do not service their customer well at all!

Check your color wheel. There is a DIY guide for replacing the color wheel. Mine did the same thing yours is and my color wheel was all busted up. Unfortunately after replacing the color wheel my set continues to do the same thing, but this could mean I need to replace the ballast as well.

Your TV is on display mode!! The problems that you are having I had with my new TV.. Call Samsung or go online to their website and it will tell you exactly how to fix that small problem. As for the blue light, just go to setup and under light effect you will be able to choose when you want the light to come on.. I hope this is helpful...
