Acer x223W Monitor issue - not displaying correctly in native resolution

My acer x223w 22' monitor is plugged into my hp pavillion dv9000 laptop and I cannot get it to display correctly in the native resolution of 1680x1050 - I use 2 other acer 22' 2216 monitors and don't have any problems.

When I set the resolution to 1680x1050 I cannot see the taskbar, as in the screen is not showing all of the viewable area. Also the text is blurry.

I need to get this fixed ASAP, please help!

Thanks

I resolved this issue - it turned out my nvidia control panel had my monitors mixed up - so that the laptop screen was getting the settings from the acer and vice versa - I swapped the settings, as there were 2 options... laptop monitor, acer... or acer, laptop monitor... in the dual display settings area.

Now it's working and is crisp and clean and I love it.

Hope this helps anyone who stumbles on to the same issue.

Hi, when all connected press and hold the FN key on the bottom left of the keypad while pressing one of the function keys F1 to F12(the one with picture of a screen or monitor). You may need to press it more than once but if will eventually switch the display over to the tv

Hope this help

Input not supported

The resolution from your PC is too high for the monitor to display, it should be set to the native resolution of this monitor. But it is possible to the problem inside the monitor if the resolution is correctly setup.

I have a x223w monitor that if you try to set higher than1280 x 768 it stretches eveything horizontally

Does your video-card allow you to set a resolution of 1680 by 1050?
(This is exactly 16 pixels horizontally for each 10 pixels vertically.)
This is the "native" resolution of the X223W monitor.

If not, pick a supported resolution that keeps the 16-to-10 ratio.

Desktop distortion of a Picture

you have to make sure that the picture you want to use as a background has similar resolution to that you are using in your actual display. for example if you are using 800x600 resolution you should have a picture close to that so it doesnt look distorted.

Hi There! My Acer x223w monitor is floating a "Input Not Supported" box that will not go away any suggestions?

The documentation for this monitor should list its supported resolutions, and you will need to attach another monitor that supports a greater (possibly lower or higher) range of resolutions and then set it to one of the supported resolutions for the monitor. The native resolution appears to be 1680x1050, although I cannot find online documentation directly from Acer.

Acer x223w issues- freezes

I think it could be an issue with resolution. Since the monitor is so big, some video cards, I noticed, can't support the high resolutions that the monitor can, if that doesn't work try 16-bit instead of 32-bit.

you need a video card that is capable of widescreen display resolutions.  Most older cards and onboards do not have this feature.
