For your own safety, all units equipped with an internal rechargeable battery contain a sealed lead-acid battery which must be recycled.

I replaced the battery in mine. It uses a 12V 3.3AH battery. You just have to remove all the screws (6 on one side, 3 on the other under the round cover). Carefully open the unit. Remove the wires from the battery spades. Replace the battery and reverse steps to put back together. It's not too difficult if your handy at these things.

Were can you et a new battery peak portable power system 450

Open it up and find out what kind of batteries are in it.
12V 18Ah Sealed Lead Acid AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
AKA Gel Cell
Dimensions not listed.
Don't be surprised if the replacements cost more than the device.
The user manual says that the unit is not designed to have the battery replaced.

If you hook up the leads wrong and then get no response of any kind have you stuffed your jumpstarter or is there a fuse you could get replaced

there are no fuses to replace(other than a reset switch on the back) if you get no responce from the unit even when you charge it then the interal circut bord is fried. it will still deliver a charge to jump start until the battery dies. after that its trash because it is not recommened to charge the intermal battery with a standard battery charger it may explode since it is a sealed lead acid battery

There are many companies on the Internet that offer Sealed Lead Acid Batteries, which may be less expensive than replacing the light. I would suggest identifying the particular battery your light has and then check what's available on the Internet to make a decision on whether it is cheaper to replace the battery or the light.

Yuasa np7-12 batterty has discharged after 7 yrs. Can I recharge using a std 12 v trickle charger?

Your Yuasa battery is of the sealed lead/acid type. These batteries are meant to be trickle charged at a voltage between 13.2 volts dc to 13.8. If the battery is dead it could take up to one day to completely recharge it. However, you mention it is 7 years old. The life of these batteries is generally 4-5 years. Their rated capacity (7 amp hour when new) diminishes over time. So there is a good possibility that your battery is getting too old to keep a charge and needs to be replaced.
