Check your circuit breakers to see if the floor is getting power to it. Consult your operation guide to see if there is an internal fuse.

How can you reset a siemens rde20.1 underfloor heating system? temperature has hit 30 degrees and won't turn down?

I had an RDE20.1 stuck on and temp reading 28.5. Fixed by first replacing battery (battery symbol was on), then changing the desired temp to above 28.5 (30) which made it switch the relay on (triangle came on, but no clunk), then set desired to below 28.5 (10) which made it switch the relay off again (triangle off and this time the successful clunk was heard!). Worked fine after that.

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

Air conditioning continually working electric fan running, cab going cold. Have tried controls set to floor not screen

AC unit work best the higher they are, the cold air will drop to the floor and heat will rise to the ceiling. If you have a 20 degree split between the supply air and the return air your good.

To set the WLCT (Time and Temperature control) for the system please refer to page number 45 (Section 10: CT Set up Guide).

How to set a wall unit for Honeywell Underfloor heating to work

Hi,
For a competent expert to be able to answer your problem, you will need to givea specific make and model of your unit.
Also include as much as possible about what you have already tried to do toresolve the problem along with exactly what is not working or what the unit isnot doing that it is supposed to do.
This will help us experts to be able to give you the correct advise the firsttime, without having to guess so much as to what is actually happening.

Thank you!

Layed heating mat then tiled no continuity need to trace where break is to rectify

Hello pamandb,
You may not have continuity thru a heating element but you should have some low resistance. If you've got an open in the el;ement itself, then you may have to remove the time to get at it to repair or replace. I have use signal tracers ( generate a sgnal in a wire and can be tracked with a receiver wand ) to track wiring and they cost about $50 - $70 in stores like home depot.. but regardless of where the break is, in order to repair it, you wil have to gain access to it which means removing tile.. Good luck
Regards,
Rick
